Planning is everything in a build of a rod or kustom. I'm committed to painting my truck in a true kandy with an off white (Wimbledon white) frame, interior, and some details here n there. Here's the thing...this is not the end-all kustom for me. While I love it, have a vision for it, and plan for it to be perfect, it will one day be sold. I love kandy green. Perhaps one of the best era colors for a kustom as well. But will it sell?

Blue is wrong for it all together. Gold might work. Perhaps a true kandy apple red? If you had the dough, wanted a super AD Chevy kustom truck detailed in every way, what color would roll your socks down? It has to be a kandy paint as I don't think any opaque colors will highlight the body and fender features as well. Your opinions are welcome.

  2. Medium green, close to the Alexander Brothers shop truck "The Grasshopper" but a bit lighter. A gold color underneath instead of silver would do it for me.

I love candy pagen Gold... it rules... over that HOK titanium real flake its crazy...

Candy apple red over gold flake is the shit- but 8-10 coats of candy so at night it looks like brandywine- but in the sun it glows bright and deep-

I'd spray your frame in off white and coat it with silver pearl in clear base/ then clear it... thats period pearl white-

    those are my favorites.

I've always been in love with Kandy Black. But then I've always favored black in all of it's rich tones. Someone recently told me that there are OTHER colors than black, obviously someone blind or mentally challenged.  :D

they don't call it resale red for no reason,
I'd go with brandywine over gold base, and
leave the frame etc gold. personally I hate
red, but dammit it sells better than any other
    color.

HOK Pagan Gold with the gold base..........
Looks bright gold in the sun, but when the sun goes down looks like a burnt gold.

I guess I'm not the only one that likes green. OZ, I saw the Merc in the LaSalle thread. Outstanding. If I did red it'd be similar to the "Gable" Packard, maybe.

If I was payin', red would be the first color to lighten my wallet. Candy blue would be a close second.

Correct me here if needed...the Caddy looks to be over a silver base and the Packard over gold. I know they're 'net pics and not dead-on true. That Merc is gettin it done.

My favorite, of all the ones I've done......Brandywine, over galaxy gray base, with a tiny bit of gold miniflake mixed into the first 2 coats of candy.

Brandy over the gold flake would be tits up! My 1st choice. About the green, I've heard green is one of the toughest color to sell.
