Pictures of traditional T-buckets?

Did you ever think of getting it all the way done - as in shiny paint and interior?

When I see T's selling really cheap I always think about that picture and wonder why people build them so goofy when they could look so right.

My hat's off to you royalshifter, I dig.

 

No shiney paint, but I would love to find some old worn brown leather for the final touch. Thank you for the compliment.

 

Last one for tonight: Al Palamidas' T-bucket, circa 1947. It is the earliest that I have seen that shows the beginnings of the "Fad T" look.

 

A real cl***ic from the early 50s, the Spaulding Bros. lakes/track t, complete with (gasp!!!) torsion bar suspension.

I know this car has been fully covered already on several other threads, but it does deserve a mention here. Gabby Garrison's original T hot rod/gow job, built in 1933.

How about a traditional "inspired" T... 1918 Dodge with a chrylser slant.

Keep this thread going. There is something about an early style T that I like. I had a T-bucket in the early 70's, about when the style was changing to the extreme sized tires and tops. Mine was pretty mild back then.
Steel wheels, baby moons, whitewalls, slightly chopped top, Cad, Olds, Desoto or even a Studebaker or Packard motor, lots of rake. I can see it now. Just like I used to see in "Hot Rod" and "Car Craft" magazines in the 60's.
I bought a front half of a 27 Touring body back in the 80's thinking of this very thing. Not very practical for traveling in but they sure are fun. Now if I could get rid of some of these damn belly****on 32's, I could get started.

Pretty obvious there is NO consensus as to what qualifies as a "T Bucket"






(Of course, I still think I'm right, of course...It's anything that looks similar to the Tommy Ivo car)

 

Mike...that thing is sweet...send out here to so cal where it can be driven year round...no sense in letting it hibernate in NY...seriously that is a nice looking ride...post progress pix

I was going through some magazines seeing which ones I'll be getting rid of and came across this one.
I kinds like the fendered look. Rod and custom 1996.

 

I'm sorry for the thread jacking here but who on the east coast makes t-bucket bodies? I would like to pick up one to be my first project.
