Hey it was the 80's that was cool. You know how that **** comes and goes... but I think a steak would be better and some potatoes, a little better of a meal.

We'll complain about our gas prices as much as we damn well want to! ...Got it!

And if you got a problem with it we ain't above bombing your miserable little, foggy, bland food (what the **** is a baked potatoe with tuna fish on it anyway?!!!) island flat!!! [IMG] [IMG]

Alright, alright, it was a joke, OK? You know I love all you pale little gouty ******s! [IMG]

You know what I do have one ***** about VW since no one else will bring it up... why are the parts for the the old flat 4's so much cheaper then for my Ford Sled. That is about the only ***** that I have. It is amazing that you can build a VW engine at about a dollar a CC. I had a buddy that had a split window here that we nicknamed *****ing Camero just for kicks and giggles. Half the mullet guys here in Oklahoma couldn't ever figure out how a VW could run with the Cameros. Pretty funny stuff I think.

The patina on this one is spot-on. It was in so-cal and then a guy from the UK bought it for a very princely sum....

Yep, two different cars. The gloss black one is called the Stink Bug and won it's cl*** at the Oakland Roadster Show (or whatever it is called now) last year or the year before.

  26. Thanks for posting all those pics from my site (VolksRods.com),
kustombuilder... saved me a bunch of time. [IMG]

Most of the owners of those rides are members there (except
the SoCalook bug and a couple others). If anyone's
interested in actually building one of these up, come on
over, check us out and show us what you got cookin'.
Plus any questions you have on how any of these cars were
built (front suspension extensions, etc) can be answered
    there.

Good to see a post with VWs in it go this far. Must be a
    record. [IMG]

That bus brought the bank because it is a "Barndoor". Barndoors were pre-1955 if I remember correctly. Notice it has no turn signals over the headlights and no overhang above the windshield. Tiny taillights and the "barn door" engine lid. The Barndoor is the '32 Ford of busses. The 23 window Deluxe Barndoor would be the Deuce roadster (or coupe, depending on your taste) of busses.

Seriously, this So-Cal Look VW post needs to stop. Ya'll have me wanting to go find a good Bug to store for my son someday.

    1Low,

So that Bus was yours? I'm in VW rehab but always went nuts over a bus.
