i cant seem to find 5 lug hole smoothies. all the ones i've been able to find are for multi-lug dimensions with 10 holes. i'd like to get normal 4.75x5 chrome smoothies with spider caps, which wouldnt cover the extra lug holes on the 10 hole ones, right? anyone know of a company that makes these smoothies?

Shoot a PM to Wheelkid. He is all-knowing when it comes to wheel trivia.

ive never seen a single lug pattern smoothie. ive seen the unilugs, im running a set on my 58f100. with no caps. it doesnt look to bad with the extra holes
if you want the single pattern you might have to go with a chrome OE ford wheel with a 5 on 4.5 pattern. i think coker sells em in chrome for around 100 bucks each. another route you could go is to get the smoothies with the unilug pattern and plug the holes.. mr gasket makes some chrome wheel plugs that push into the open holes. i dont know how they would look with the spider caps. hope this helps some

This looks pretty damn good. Make a plate to go behind the spiders that covers the extra holes and paint it to match the car. Cole Foster built '56 Nomad...

  5. Fill the extra holes with those snap-in chrome caps you get from the hardware store to fill in holes in sheetmetal, usually you see them plugging the hole for the hand sprayer doo-hickey.

Yep, no such thing, either fill the holes or go with an OEM style wheel

thanks for the ideas....i have much pondering to do now....by the way my car is like the same color blue as the center of those rims, it looks nice. are there other hubcaps that would be in place of the baby moons with a cone/spike that would cover the center of the rim? all i care about is the spike thing. i wanna impale people who try to steal my wheels.

Why do you want to go smoothie, I went with the OEM wheel and spider cap, in my opinion it looks better. Have't seen a smoothie with out all the lug hols, that's why I went OEM.

can you purchase chromed regular steel rims for as much as smoothies? for the amount it would cost to have mine chromed, id rather just get torque thrusts.

Whatever wheels you put on it, it's still going to be a mid-'80's caprice.

I've got a pair of wide 5 on 4 3/4" chrome smoothie wheels I'd sell, I can send you a pic if you want. I probably have bullet caps that'd fit them too. Shoot me a PM and let me know.
