Very nice, Kedde. What kind of intake and head are you using on there? Is that a 94 carb?

It's a Thomas head that I modified the chambers on, cause they had the wrong shape. The intake and linkage is homebrewed, as I could not afford the real thing. And the carb is actually a 94 with a 81 butterfly, it's an experiment that i've made and it works just fine. It's got stock tranny and rear end, but she still manages to scoot along at 90mph.

Are you allso into banger engines??

I'm gathering T parts... at a glacial pace. It'll be a touring car, but I'm unsure as to whether I'll go Gabby Garrison style or Multy Aldrich style.

    Thanks again.
Yep that head took me a year to get my dirty hands on. If you ever get your hands on one, I'll tell you that you'll have to put a lot of work in to the chambers before it will work fine.:)

Side Valve.: Thats a beautiful jalopy ya got there.
Kickin' up dirt is what she's build for.:D

Very nice car. Dead on right.

  17. That is the plan here, I was lucky to find a real low mile gennie Deuce chassis that came out of a pristine Cabriolet that was turned into a street rod. The body is a 30-31 Roadster body, I could not afford a Duece body.

Your car has been inspiration for me during my build! I have a few shots of your car in my archive of "what I like to call art". It's perfect man! I'm with you on a traditional hot rod. Have you seen the book "Birth of Hot Rodding" the dry lakes era? If not a must have, documents what I call true hot rods. Anyways, I'm as well building a 40's style hot rod. Mine is a 30 Tudor. The car was a "heated" Oklahoma barn find. The old guy that was restoring it passed away like 25 years ago, and it has sat in a heated garage since. Not a drop of Bondo in her. And he had already converted it to Juice Brakes, and supposedly rebulit both the transmission and engine.I've been working on the front end, dropped axle, redoing the juice brakes, and plans to keep the four banger with a single Ansen intake, Stromberg LZ carb, and some big and little bias ply firestones. Fenders at first, and then will see. Just finished up the rear seat today, covered it in a 1949 Wool Army blanket. Trying to stay right on era. Anyways, thanks for the inspiration and I hope to see more from you and others.

Well Chopt 34. You could spend a mountain of foldin' money on a duce body. But stickin' with that old Model A body alows you to drive some more efford in to gettin' the engine to whail. and thats even more fun than havin' a duce body shell. aint it?

You got lucky Tyler, that car looks sound, ya dont find em like that here in Denmark. And you got juice brakes, mine are just modified mechanicals. Im happy that my car has been inspiration to you, I never tougt that would happen.

Now that Morton, Morton Hoybye, is a very good friend of mine.
He throws a party next weekend, where me and my band will play some honky tonkin' hillbilly tunes. That'll be fun for shure.:D

GZ, is that an original Michigan car? I'd love to know the history on that one.

  28. Saw some pictures of your sedan posted on one of the monthly Banger threads(?), where you were REALLY throwing it about!

Very cool indeed. Did you decide not to sell it?

Kept the pictures as inspiration for my Sedan. Except it'll have fenders. And four doors. And be taller...

  30. Here are a couple pics of the one I am building for the basement at detroit this year. Hopefully they will have it!!! I found it in a shed right here in town a couple years back. Same story, guy was restoring it since the 70's and passed away. It is so nice I cant take the knife to it. So I figured that I would make an early rod out of it and save it in case anybody would ever want to put it back to stock. Plans are to put on a thomas in take with a pair of 81's. Make it look like someone just picked up a coupe and took off the extra weight and purchased their first speed part! Cool thread, hopefully there will be more pics!
