Yes, it is single stage Hot Rod Flatz urethane. Gunsmoke Metallic. The color came out very good. I just wish the "feel" was smoother. Some areas feel like sandpaper.

I need to detail it, then i will be doing a photoshoot. Overally it looks pretty good. I have a few spots to touch up still, but it is mostly done.

If it's a cheap paint gun, maybe it's not atomizing the paint well enough? I've seen what your describing when using "throwaway" harbor freight guns.

Thanks. I like how its coming along so far. Still on the list to do is some pinstriping or subtle graphics work.

It has been a learning curve. A few of the panels I need to respray, but overall I like how it has turned out..

I sprayed a test panel of Gunmetal gray and it should be called gunmetal black....Way to dark for me! So not to waste the paint I'm shooting the inside of my '46 with the rest of the paint. A quart will just about do it. I like the hot Rod Flatz gray Pewter firemist! I'll take a pic of the test panel and post it tomorrow. Good luck..
