    Campbell Out in Discovery Shakeup
    Multichannel News
    2/5/07 3:30 p.m.

Discovery Networks U.S. president Billy Campbell is one of several top
executives leaving the company under a shakeup and reorganization
announced by Discovery Communications CEO David Zaslav Monday.

Also leaving DCI are TLC president and general manager David Abraham,
Animal Planet Media GM Maureen Smith, Discovery Networks International
president Dawn McCall and DCI senior vice president of human resources
    Pandit Wright.

Zaslav, who was named CEO of DCI in November, formed an
emerging-networks group that will include Military Channel, Discovery
Times Channel, Discovery Home Channel and Discovery HD Theater. Each
channel will have a GM, and Discovery is looking to recruit an executive
    to run the group.

Jesse, You are no stranger to how the corporate machine works. Glad you decided to go ahead and do it. Bringing anything diff.to Paso this year?I Have talked to you about the sedan and been to the shop and look forward to seeing what you bring this year up to my neck of the woods.. On a side note. I grew up with Body Drop (Chris) in Arroyo Grande and still get a charge out of watching him on the ol' TV set... EVILT

I appreciate what you did for those guys. That rocks. As a vet I say Thanks for that.

    But...

The Discovery Channel doesn't have much to do with this board.

Cl*** act man! Your action did more than just show support for the troops, it also encouraged others to support the troops. It's easy to get down on the war, but obviously important to always support those fighting the war. Actions like yours go along way toward promoting that at***ude.

Does this mean you'll be doing more work with Discovery? I really want to see a cage match between you and Boyd! That would be some great TV!

  23. This isn't a place for political statements, unless you're talking about something that happened prior to 1965. that's the rules, right?

    Jesse,
You may never know how much the troops appreciate someone like yourself taking the time to go over there to support them when others won't

    You're a stand-up guy.

All I can say is screw what the haters think. I think how its got to be hard as **** to be over there and away from your family.. and I think what you did for those guys (soldiers) morale, helping them to have a little bit of normal in their life in a very abnormal situation speaks volumes.... You have a huge heart for doing that. -angry

Very cool that you went to Iraq and sacrificed what ever it is that changed in your life. Hopefully they don't replace those guys with some bigger **** wad Liberals. Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease, so to speak.

If I were you I would have done the same thing and went as planned!

I'm glad that people in your position take time to do something like that. A lot of people hate WWE's Vince McMahon, but you gotta respect the guy taking the show on the road to Iraq!
