  1. This is going to sound catty but I think the real focus is $$$$$.

Ok now onto the real deal here. Z you could probably have gotten me on the twisty stuff but you'd have never out run me on the long haul. I know you weren't talking to me but I just couldn't resist. Are we both makin it to MOKAN this year? I think I still owe you a chance to outrun me on the short track.

I like my sporty and hate it at the same time. I think I am just going to have to hardtail it afterall. Who has one I can ride to see if I will even like it? :D

  8. django, i can tell ya first hand, you wont like a rigid very long.my buddy jay rode a 73 sporty with struts for years. dont know how he did it , and that was i chitown no less. i ran struts on my shovel for one summer and then reworked the swing arm to slam it down a couple inches.the rigid looks nice but if your going to put any kind of serious miles on your scoot, leave the springs on it . my opinion only. mike

My 76 Shovel. 93" S&S, Evo valvetrain, handbuilt true dual exhaust, front crash bar IS the oil cooler, fatboy style front fender with handbuilt lowering adapters so it sits about 1/4 inch off the front tire. In the works now are Tokiko four-piston calipers front and rear so I can get this thing to stop as well as it goes. It's low, loud and fast....

Love the triumph. I have a 72 tiger 650 just under 6000 original miles. Stole it for 400 bucks. Still had the original tires on it. I will see if I can get a pic of it to post.

Here's a couple of a chop that I recently through a frame together for. Other than the cost of the bike, I've got a total of around 250 bucks in it.

  16. Damn man I thought you were mad at me. I gotta get up close and personal with the Buick just so I can say I did. You are talking about the big one with the slick suspension?

I'll have to bring something old and crusty so if you don't make the big end before me you'll never live it down.:D:D

We have to make sure we talk this time friend.

The Indian is a scout of 38-39 vintage going only by the dash and such. If you wanted to pm me or post the first three letters of the serial number I could nail it down for you.

wow I really screwed up that post, I was too busy figuring out the pictures!!
The rigid is a 37 and the skirted one is a 47. The 47 has changed colors now, will have black and Indian's green.
