    ...Any of you near Altus, OK? I found a "Too good to be true" deal that may just be true. :eek: It's something I've always wanted at an unbelievable price for what it appears to be.

    Altus is in Southwest Ok, close to the Texas border. It is about 6 hours from me. If you can find a HAMBer from around Lawton, Ok. or Wichita Falls, TX. They are a lot closer.

  5. Find out here:

    http://www.tax.ok.gov/mv5d.html

    From that website:

    MV: General ***le Information

    The State of Oklahoma requires ***les to be issued to all over the road motor vehicles, travel trailers, commercial trailers, manufactured homes, boats and outboard motors (in excess of 10 horsepower). Noncommercial trailers, including utility trailers, boat trailers and farm trailers, are not required to be ***led or registered in Oklahoma.

    * ***les are required to be applied for within thirty (30) days of obtaining ownership.

    * ***les may be applied for through the Motor Vehicle Division, or at any of the over three hundred (300) motor license agencies (tag agencies) located throughout the state.

    * Once all requirements for ***le issuance have been met and the transaction entered, ***le certificates are generated overnight at a central location and mailed out to the record owner (not the lienholder, if any) the following business day.

    I have a fellow reserve Navy Chief that lives in that area I can contact if you are needing a local set of eyes on something. He is not a HAMBer but he is a good guy. Call me if you want me to get in touch with him.

    basically it works this way;
    If you come into the state without a ***le, but with a reg. card with your name on it, they will issue you current reg, but NOT a ***le. If you buy something without a ***le, you better hope it was from Ok, because they will not accept a lost ***le or bill of sale from another state.
    They also will not accept Ca lien sale papers.
    Generally they will only accept a ***le from out of state, notorized bill of sale from Ok.
    Ks will issue lost ***les ONLY to the last reg owner
