the is on the rear of a '53 chevy 210.
i'm about ready to do my notch and have been looking at bag
    set-ups (for the rear only).
my plan for it is to have a 3" (+ or -) ride height but have the ability to raise it and put it all the way down.
as far as bag brackets, what would be a good route to follow?

    over axle brackets...

    under and behind axle brackets...

    what do you like?

i could see the bridge/over axle being easier to install.....
    what do you think?

    thanks.

you didnt mention any thing about holding the rear end in place,
if the budget allows id go or a triangulated 4 link, and mount the bags on the lower link rods, you get great lift and a way better ride than on the axle. suicidedoors.com have some really good kits that are well priced. try and stay away from a leaf sprung deal, it may be cheaper at first but will cost more to do it right later when the leafs fail. all the best with it

you will get a way better ride quality with the bags mounted on the 4-link bars. The ride quality ****S with the bags mounted over the axle.

yea, out of all the "research" i've done...it seems like bags over axle would be fine with the right 4link.
i'm not looking for a "luxury car ride". and i'm not TOO concerned about lift...althought i would like to option to lift rather than just s****e. :D
yea, i planned on contacting alex about everything, he seems like he knows his **** and i like his stuff alot!
    thanks alot!

Anyone with pics of bags mounted on the 4bar? I was planning on bags over the axle on my son's '52, but was curious how exactly the bags on the lower 4 bar worked out.

open for suggestions, but was thinking about the bags on the links. Looking for the ability to drive low and slow along with ride quality. We have already installed the front Mustang 2 with bags on the 54. Any pics of installs ?

I'm running bags over axel with a tri 4 link...no ride issues to speak of....but seeing as it went from the 50+ year old 3/4 ton leafs to this anything is an improvement (though it rides like a caddy, its NICE!) as long as you get proper geometry and shock mount geometry you should be fine....I've not done the bag on link method so the other blokes may be on to somethin there....look at all your options. From my experience, bag over is easy and worked excellent for me.
