Check out the HAMB Chop 2.6 from November or abouts ,for
a farely current account of how it can be done. Plenty of pictures
    and info.
Haunt the HAMB/net for photos of chopped Shoes to get some
idea what looks good, and not.

step away from the sawzall,it's real easy to make a coupe look bad.Hell it's easy to make the sedan look bad :) .Take it to a pro or have some one that has done it before help you.I've seen books and video both and there is a lot of gray area in them.I also see at least a car a month in person chopped at the shop,it's not for the faint of heart...........

i have one at my shop right now that i cut awile ago the owner only wanted the roof lowered a lil bit so i cut 2.5 out of the front and about 3 in the rear and leaned the back window alil. had the chop almost all done then decided he wanted it a hardtop! it looks better as the hardtop i think. the rear 1/4 dont look real small. ill post some pics for you tomorrow if ya like.

    Hey,

Ya may wanna pm chopped50ford, it was his car, his chop. I
don't know if it's in paint yet, or not.
Yes, it was a 2dr. sedan, but excepting the shape of the quarter
windows and the area of the cat walk below the rear light, not
a major different look in a medium to heavy chop.

A few tips on the way I do a shoebox. Cut the rear window completely out about 3" away from top and sides and right at the deck line on the bottom. Flip the window over (upside down) and bring it up to meet the roof and fill the gap to the deck. Makes a nice flow and fits better, takes less work on the roof skin. Slopping the B piller helps the small 1/4 window look more porportional, especially on the coupe if you don't hardtop it.
