Mallory Distributor ID

Anybody know how to ID a Mallory distributor? I've got two that I was told fit 64/80 Oldsmobiles. One a single point has a tag that reads YL 501AV and a dual point that reads 256340.

I think that you left a digit out of the second part number. The 501 is for Oldsmobile V8s, so if the other looks identical to it, it is as well.

 

i have a dual-point that says "YC 501 A" which i modified to fit early Oldsmobile V-8's.
