Uhh.......ok. BTW the old "Oh so you think it ****s huh? You try and build one thats better" argument is retarded..............I'm not a chef but I know if my steak tastes like dog food. You dont have to build the car to know weather or not it ****s. If I saved just one pimply faced, pomp wearing wannabe greaser from embarr***ing himself I've done my job. How about posting a pic of your ride hmmmm?
Let me see. No billet,no 20's,no neon,no tweed,no time-out doll. Looks like you know what you're doin Mutt.
I looked the "Barn Find" 32 over pretty good. I don't think it's legit. The body paint didn't match the fenders, and the body looked like it was sanded with 600 grit. The windshield & posts was new chrome. Don't get me wrong, I'd take it in a heartbeat. Answer to your note, trying to p*** this 32 off as a true survivor barn find, thats a ****load.
Okay Larry, here's the scoop. I started to talk to the owner, then my phone rang. I was asked what I was doing, and I told my friend "i'm taking pictures of this FAKE ****ing barn find". I didn't realize the guy was right behind me,so that was it. He wasn't gonna talk to me now. I guess almost everything but the body and rear fenders, also the gastank cover, were found somewhere. This guy put a Brookville body, fenders, and other NEW stuff on it. The sign in front of the car says"Unrestored Barn Find". Real car guys could tell, but many of the "window lickers" thought it was thr real deal.If you look closely in the top, middle picture, you can see the primered floor. I was gonna take my sharpee and write "representation" on the sign. Talk about ********! That building was full of surviver '32's. That was just total disrespect, for the guys who take pride in preserving history. Sorry Larry. Wish I had a better story.
If you look in the pics, you can see all the new stuff. I'd like to find that barn,if it can produce new stuff like that.
Here's the best thing Bo brought with him. His daughter, standing there talking to MarineMike. She was a real sweetheart.
I'd love to see more pics of that crazy looking boattail thing with the enclosed teardrops over each wheel. Pretty wild. Also, what's up with the three grille/hood bars on that '36 Ford roadster? I really like that, was that custom made, or some kind of accesory stuff from back in the day? Never seen that before.
well **** him. i don't know who he thinks he's fooling, even in the pictures you can tell the body was given a scuff job while many other parts show real patina. you don't see many real patinaed cars that the paint is sanded through to primer in such a fashion, and the lack of any surface rust is a dead giveaway. the guy should have been publicly outed, and kicked out of the show.
Thanks for takin' the time to do that Bob...mighty nice of you. I kinda thought it was too good to be true... nice pics tho...
i like that chip didnt try to build some "barn find" or a "rat rod" but he did what hes good at. sleek, custom, very bad *** lookn car. awesome theme. out of all the tv ******** i think hes lesser of all the evils. i like it!!
Thanks for the pics. Not to bash, but I can honestly say I don't like Bo's car at all. It's trying way too hard. He is talented, but needs to take it down a notch or two. The only vehicle in that building I liked less was the black pickup with the lift-bed and the Jesus and Eddie from Iron Maiden mural thing. The worst vehicle of the whole show was that abortion out in front of the Suede Palace with the bus or big rig parts or whatever it was. That's the **** that gives us all a bad rep.
Yeah, that's Ian Roussel built car. We heard the motor run and it sounded like a *****cat. I expected a growling monster sound comming from that thing.
I hate cl***ifying cars, but I also don't want to be lumped in with a completely different genre. Maybe the GNRS needs an "art car" or "rat rod" area for cars like his.
That's who it was! I saw the guy as I was standing in the beer line (where a lot of my time--and way more money--was spent) trying to remember where I'd seen him before. It was in that DVD the Choppers did. Now the OTR Rat Rod makes sense...
I talked to one of the guys who owns an original, surviver, and he was the one who told me to look closer. He said many of the other guys who had cars in the 75th building were pissed about how that car was portrayed.
I had nothing else to do. The door Nazi wouldn't let us leave until 7:55! Fabien got out with his sedan, but then a guy came and put a lock and chain on the doors,to keep us in.
That guy,Ian,isn't a car guy. He's a metal sculptor,so that thing is more of an "art" car. It belongs to "Big Swag",the Monster Garage announcer. Didn't like it either.
My buddy tried to roll his two bikes out to his trailer, and he got about 20 feet. They made him take them back in. It was funny.
I heard that the chrome on those tractor seats was actually paint. Think of all the areas you could use that on!
