OK I don't know how my later stuff wound up in earlier posts...oh well.

Here is a second one. Deciding where the lights and darks need to be.
Or not to be. As far as the final went I should have went with this
lighter blue to my shadows. Next time. Surprised you liked the first version.
Kind of can't see much of it. Maybe thats what to like. Hmmmm.
I kind of liked it at this stage.

Well, this is what i've been working all this week!
They are all not completely done yet, because i had to leave for Florida this morning for the weekend for some skate demos till Sunday night. When i get back home though, i'll finish these and add the last ( 5th) color to all these spray paint stencils. The new car image is '36 ford 5 window you may recognize. I did a huge acrylic painting of this awhile back. The wide wood planks with both cars (the model A) are possible wood trophy's i want to present to our club at our next meeting. I want to make another stencil with the Road Zombie name and logo sprayed in between the two cars:) I always see the other club members come up with these awesome metal trophies for our club pick trophies and i thought it might be cool to do an art piece for a car show someday.

Coupe: Those are too cool. Now you just need to keep going and mix and match all of them! Blue with Green, Green with Red, Red with Blue, etc!

    Is it: 1st Place Blue
    2nd Place Red
    3rd Place Green?

Of them all, the Red really sings to me.

Hey look, I is a art critik!

Well, this pinup is from last year. But I thought it would be appropriate since it got into a show this week!

Well by the reaction I should have left well enough alone.
While doing this my next move was really making me feel like
I should have done just that. Itwas at this point that I was about
to pull out my hair as THIS was not what I wanted at all.
A total rethink was in order, so I let it sit for a day with me staring at it.

Frustrated but not done I plowed on with it and things began looking
more like what I wanted. After a wash of red hues I went on.
I'm a bright color nut so I started adding color how I felt they
needed to go together. I know some of you may be shaking your
head saying "he should have stopped long ago"
    but I was experimenting.
Yeah I went crazy with the color but it just was so much fun I
ran with it as you can see. You may not like the final (this is not it, but close) but
hey thats fine, I had a good time. I hope it was interesting for you
to watch the progression. For the artists it's just old hat.
Next post will be the final version.

Haha, thanks for the comments Nick. I checked out your website, some nice work you've got there.

I've been at it for 2-3 years now, practicing in my free time. Some of the local rodders have shown an interest in my work, which is a huge confidence boost. If my hobby turns profitable down the road, great, but it's not the #1 goal right now. If nothing else, I think I show a lot of potential for a young lad of 24 years.

  27. HIDDEN, you stole my thunder down under. I planned to post a few sketchbook gasses, Willy's both, with a couple others but the scanner I was going to use was GONE. L.A.'s where it's at, unless you need office equipment that works. Great job on your art!
Coup-De-Cab those woods look so BITCHIN'! There's nothing else like 'em. Great work, keep 'em comin'!

HIDDEN, you never cease to amaze, the gasser is awesome!

CAB...the stencils are amazing, very cool on the wood panels too!

KIRK! I love the photos, I really wish I could come work at the gazette with you guys, but I gotta finish school right now.

Rollie, those lies are fine as usual, and the lettering is amazing I don't know how you do it!

    Great lines as well BigNick!

...LowCab, awesome progress and final piece!

Here is my progress on and altered a design for this week, it may be used for t-shirts so I made a negative of it to see if I would need to make very many changes to the design, unfortunately I think I'll have to do a lot of work on the tires and wheels to make 'em look right if I want to print the design on a black shirt. What do you guys think?
