Yeah #15n...it worked, but you have to open it to see it.

If you can post your pictures on a photo hosting site like WebShots or PhotoBucket, then you can link directly and it will show up in your post.

  2. I raced roundy-round in the late 70's-early 80's. The cars and I were always too hammered to do well. I lost all those pics years ago. I started racing again in 2001 at a local track here in southern Colorado, did much better. Here are my mini stock, Stock truck, Hobby Stock, and Super Stock. It's a blast!

I've done pretty well, including a couple track championships. Here are pics of my Mini Stock, Stock Truck, Hobby Stock, and Super Stock.

Yes as a file, you can upload the pic directly to your post using "manage attachments" but you will have to reduce the current size quite a bit.

Our mods were a couple of years behind ya'll, but when the first Tobias car came here in '74 (I think), it had a Gremlin body. Until Syracuse 1980 when Kenny Weld brought out the "Batmobile" for Gary Balough, everybody but the oldtimers who stuck with their coupes ran either a pinto or Gremlin or either a Toby, Ebersole or Show Car chassis. Mine is on a partial Scout frame, reputedly ran at Syracuse in '72 and was then brought to W/Pa after that. It had quite a winning history at Mercer Raceway with a 6 cyl. Chev under the hood well into the mid '80s. A father and son bought her, restored her to show and parade condition. A friend tipped me off to the whereabout of this car and I bought it for $800 running!

That coupe of yours is sweet..:) Which club do you run her with? I bought the coach from my late buddy, Gary Byerly, president of Midstate Vintage last summer. If you run with that bunch, I'll see you in the summer. I plan to run 2 or 3 shows with them.

hey do you race at OCFS in middletown? Some of those shots look familiar. I used to work on some modifieds and pro stocks up there.

As near as we can figure, it's a '37 4-door body cut down and narrowed slightly into a unique Tudor coach. The workmanship is good for a stocker. The chassis is 3"x4" tubing. Before I bought her from my friend in NY, he got her from another guy who brought her back from eastern Pa. It'd make a very cool hot rod for the street with some work.

Looks a lot like a dark blue coach I used to see run on the dirt at Flemington in the '70s, don't remember any names though.

I raced this on dirt in New York back in the 60s. Raced at the track that the Bodines owned.

I used to race cars and boats years ago, I like cars but I love boats...this one is a Sprint boat powered by a Donovan on alcohol...

I gave up my aspirations to become a driver and moved on to something more within my capabilities and have mechaniced, crew chiefed and team managed my way around ever since. Won a few Championships (4) with these two...

Won a few more (3) with these guys...

    Chemung Speedrome!

Was closed for years, but reopened about five years ago. The nearby Shangri-La Speedway closed last year, so Chemung is doing fairly well now.

Yes, I actually live in Middletown now. I race there occasionally, but more often at Accord and White Lake. We have a bunch of cars, so we run several divisions.

The vintage cars we run with the Northeast Vintage Dirt Modified Club (http://www.vintagedirtmodified.com/links.asp), Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club (http://www.gsvscc.org/) and New England Antique Racers club (http://www.near1.com/) plus some others like Senior Tour Auto Racers, National Oldtimers Auto Racing Club, Daytona Antique Auto Racing Association, etc... We don't run with Mid-State because they don't allow big V-8 engines.

Thanks! Even that info is valuable in helping to find this car's history. It's been vintage raced before and has decals from the Reading Pa area on it. I'm thinking about selling it, buying a later (and lighter) chassis, putting a Falcon body on it and building a Gerald Chamberlain tribute to run with Midstate. That one will be powered by a 300 Ford. One of my life's goals is to run at Fonda Speedway.

  22. I don't own a race car but I did get to drive this Corey Cruseman sprint car for 25 laps a little over a year ago. I can see how that could be addictive! It was a gift from my wife for our 20yr anniversary. If I can figure out how, I'll post a You Tube video one day.

  23. I got my NHRA license in this 9sec blown big block powered Willys coupe several years ago. It was a street car that I built for a customer. He had to get his license to race it so he asked me if I wanted to get mine too. Didn't need it but it sounded like fun to me........

  24. Raced my old Willys coupe at alot of nostalgia drag meets in the 80's Palmdale, Bakersfield, Carlsbad, Fremont.

Here's a few of mine. I built the primered one two years ago just in time for my local racetrack to shut down. That was the tipping point that sent me into hot rods. At least I'm going to be able to use the engine/transmission from it to motivate my tudor.

Co-drove with my buddy at Road America, AutoBahn Country Club, Milwaukee Mile and BlackHawk Farms. Taking this year off to build the A and work on the house - Spec-Miata is cheap but not cheap enough to keep doing with other projects.

we may be bad, but we're slow...
