I found these things that move your 97's or 94's forward like an inch. Has anyone ever seen these or know anything about them? They are not aluminum but they have been cast. I sure would like to find another one for tri power.

Why would 94's need to be moved forward?

On a flatty V8 dual manifold it would move the carbs back to allow clearance to the gennie. The two-bolt side is the front of a 94

    Nice find.

You can get straight carb risers, but I don't think anyone is reproducing those offset ones.

on many tri power manifolds, especially the flathead ones, 97s will sit inline, but 94s will hit each other. The only solutions are to grind off the rear screw on the float bowl or use an offset spacer.

Someone told me once that they're from a COE truck. Something got in the way, and additional clearance was needed.

Yeah, if you look at it close and compare it to a carb, that spacer would move it back. Still neat though.

  12. They move the carbs back so ya' can clear the stock generator with a two carb set-up when clearance is a problem.

some guy named eddy made some of those to put a tri power offy intake on his 51 chevy. the rear carb would hit the firewall, so he moved everything forword.

I'm betting they're to clear a heavy duty generator or one of those gigantic antique rectifier alternators as used on emergency vehicles and such. They're iron--the speed industry worked almost exclusively in aluminum.
I've got two of the things, one about twice as tall as the other.

They were designed to move the front carb rearward on a 2x2 intake to have room to mount the generator in it's stock position. Also, I have one just like you got there and I WILL turn loose of it. PM me.
