55 chevrolet rearend question

Hey guys, I was wondering if someone on this board might be able to figure out this problem I am having. Is there any company's that manufacture differential cases for the 55-64 Chevrolet rear ends? Or should I try and track down a good used one. Thanks!

I don't know of anyone making these cases but you should not have any trouble finding a good used one.

You might want to post a ad in the wanted section here on the HAMB or try some Chevy sites like ChevyTalk.com

 

I got one lying out behind the shop. It's had the spring perches hacked off but otherwise its ok.

 

Are you just looking for just the housing? We got one at the shop. Powder coated and ready to go.

 

You just need the case/drop-out section, correct???? If so I have one, bare/no gears......FREE....just pay for shipping..... I also have the diff carrier.....

 

Thanks for the reply although I think we are talking about two different pieces. I think you are talking about the physical housing where the two axles mount up, I am talking about the piece inside the pig with the two sidegears and the ring is mounted to.
