I got a rought but buildable 32 ford 2dr sedan and a nice 32 ford frame yesterday. I always wanted one but I thought I'd never find one I could afford. Now I just have to find a windsheild frame for it and a set of doors. I might be able to build a set of doors out of a few model A doors I have that I was looking at last night. If I could find a set of doors that the bottoms were rotted off for cheap I could use them if I can find a set to buy. I just need some that are good from the belt line up. The roof on my car is pretty messed up because a barn fell on top of it several years ago but I think I can fix it. I've already fixed the rear portion of it. I'm going to build it into a chopped hiboy sedan. I'm totally stoked that I got it.
I'm going to try and get some in the next day or soon hopefully I won't get laughed at to bad for trying to rebuild such a rough car with top being messed up.
Don't use the A doors - even though they're cheap and available they will eat up a lot of time to make them fit and look like they were meant to be there. tudor doors are around, esp. if you only need the top half.
Is this the cdan on ebay with the roof that didn't have a single straight spot? Black with red wheels? I checked that out, I thought hell if the roof was not saveable make a duce tub out of it!
No this car wasn't on epay it was a local car here that was an ex hot rod that a guy was going to make a street rod out of. Then the Ice storm came several years ago and the guys building he was storing the car in fell on top of it. So he pulled it out dishearted and thought it was totaled then got rid of it. Now I got it by trading my 39 dodge truck project I got from smalltownspeed for it. If it isn't snowing to bad when I get Home I'll try and get pics tonight.
