I'm on call this weekend so I can't leave Augusta. Nice to have met you at WOW last weekend. Keep posting these events!! Thanks.
I'll be working the main gate 10a.m.-12a.m. Special HAMB rate, $3.00, woman & kids under 12 free. Partly sunny and 50's.
I was thinking about driving down from Nashville. What is admission cost? Is the swap mainly pre 48 stuff and heavily Chevy based or is it wide open? Thanks
Anyone have any pics of last years? there's none on gsra.com I just went to a swap meet that had 4-5 guys there; I get the sense that this is bigger, but a good pic would get a lot more people more excited I bet
This is usually a good swap meet. Been going for years, and have often found some GREAT deals! Biggest trouble can be the weather. Supposed to be cloudy with a high in the mid-40s on Saturday.
I'll be there. It was good to meet ya on Sunday. Gus gave me a flyer so long ago that I had almost forgot about it.
I went year before last and it was pretty good, I scored a few things that day. The swap at Braselton( i am guessing the one you are talking about that was dead) is worth coming back for. That day it just had too many things against it ( Super Bowl, Moultrie, and it was freaking cold.) I'll be in a 64 Impala wagon with Supremes, if you se me introduce yourself. Pauly
Will do! And anyone see me or my 64 catalina convertible say hello. (and hey, I'm defintately giving braselton another go next month. I think everyone was a little surprised how few showed)
Yeah, we were! I expected a slow December show, but it was great. Next year, I may not have it in January and February. March is a 2-day show this year. I'll be at Marietta handing out fliers with Boy Wonder (my son.) -Brad
Hey Brad, Taking a couple months off isn't unprecidented...the Webster swap in central FL. closes down for July and Aug I think....too f'ing HOT.
Bringing a mega load of stuff to sell ..high school projects are costly when there's 2 of them! I'll be the guy with all the lawn mower stuff!some 59/60 chevy and some speed stuff! ask for CDAN!
I was kinda hoping for an elephant walk. We'll have to take your truck. I'm in a rental. A nissan no less. what a hunk of ****. the transmission has 2 speed D and L HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
come on C DAN i got a bunch of odds and ends to bring got a good a model grille shell if someone is lookin for one
Any idea how many vendors have signed up? I'm thinking of heading over, but it would have to be a sizable event for me to make the drive. With the weather predictions (15-20 mph winds, 10-15 degree windchill when the gates open, 30-35 degree windchill during the warmest part of the day, and 20% chance of rain) I'm somewhat doubtful of a good vendor turnout. This is an outside event with tents, correct?
