I'm not trying to pull a fast one, I'm just trying to figure this out. And thought I'd start a new one with the other picture I found. Sorry if this bothered you.

  2. Yeah 31 is not right either...it IS however a GM wood reinforced body.
The upright brace in the p*** side trunk was meant to brace the wood that is missing aropund trunk opening..I have a 32 coupe[Buick] but the stamping at top of quarter is two sided on yours and one on my coupe...possibly an Oakland / Pontiac......

  3. I'm working on a 34 Chevy 2d Sd so the Quarters really don't mean much to me. But, what I see of the A piller and dash mount it looks the same. Also your pieces seem to have no steel inner structure. Again typical of the Chevy. The Chevy's of pre 36 were basically a Wooden Apple Box with sheet metal nailed over it. Even the main body front to back sub rail was a 1"x6" wood plank. Just one of the reasons you don't see much of the early Chevy's around.

That makes a lot of sense. I feel like I'm getting somewhere. Thank you very much. Do you happen to have any pictures of the cowl on yours?
    Thanks a lot!!

The doors and cowl that came with it are not the right ones. The cowl is kinda cool but obviously does not go with the rest rear quarters. The whole mess did come with a full set of 1930 chevy fenders. I've looked at pictures of chevys and the body lines didn't seem to go with the quarters that I had. so i just ***umed they were just thrown in with the rest of the "parts". The wood posts or lack of in my case makes a lot sense though! Thank you very much? I noticed on your sign in it said something about hillbilly music. happento be into rockabilly at all?

    Thanks again,
    Eddie

Kenny is dead close. I agree with GM family. There is very compelling evidence that its 31-32 Cadillac. Whats throwing me is the top bodyline when it comes down to meet the beltline. And I'm actually about to cry because my heart is telling me '32 Cadillac Coupe, that has been cut up.
Here a pic to substantiate my claim.
The rearend of a '31 Cadillac V12 roadster. See how the bodylines look identicle. Its obviously not a roadster, but maybe point you in the right direction. Hope this helps

What throws me off are the "scallops" at the corner end of the 1/4 of your roadster & the same on the one in pictures?

Would a coupe & roaster Cad. have a different stamping there? I dunno...

Certainly from this look you're right. I wish we could find a closer look at that top line by the bussle.

The cage nuts are in the same position as Chevy Master, on the vertical wall of the inner fender well not the Horozontl part of it.

Wow it sure does look alot like the caddy, with the exeption of the belt line. Even the way the bottom of the back has that scallop is right on. The oakland's beltline looks more like mine, I wish I could see the bottom more. Either way I think you guys are right on the money! And I agree what a shame that some ***hole had to cut this up. Hopefully I'll be able to put it back the way it should be once I figure that out. Thanks a million for all the help!! I knew this woas going to be the only place to figure this mystery out!

By the way does anyone have any pictures of the 31 cadillac or oakland fenders. I have a full set of what looks like 1930 chevy fenders that came with the whole mess. Thanks again to everyone's help with this.
