Well my day has come! A buddy of mine was trying to sell this truck and wasn't getting what he wanted for it. After realizing he probably wasn't going to get what he was asking, he approached me about trading work. The deal sounded way to good to be true so I didn't take him to serious until I went to his house and looked! Foward to present-I have a garage full of 34 Ford. I've browsed other forums and always come back to the HAMB. I truly appreciate those who do what they do to make this site what it is. Anyway my current decision; I have a 289 and a 394. I"m leaning toward the 394 but what ****** do i use? I don't wan't an automatic and i wan't something bullet proof. Thanks for listening.

  2. If you went with the 289, I would guess a1960's C4 (Fairlane,Mustang,etc...) would fit nice. Just a thought.

Based on mine, at least, a '34 PU steers like a 70-year-old truck (as you might expect). I'd pick the lightest engine I could find.

I have a C4 for the 289. I was trying to figure out what to use for the 394 rocket.
