You might try something from a Jeep. I drive a '95 Wrangler for my daily and it has such small wipers most stores don't even keep them on hand.
You might have good luck with something from an older CJ or military style Jeep.

    Good luck.

Shorten a pair of stock arms and run some 8'' or 9'' blades

    I Have A 4" Chopped '55 F~100 .... I Dis~assembled The Stock Wpiers & Shortened Them....
Drilled Out The Lil Rivits, Modified The Arms & Used S/s Screws To Re~assemble.
Why Rack Yer Brain & End Up With Some Brand New Shit When Ya Can Modifiy The Originals?

  6. thanks guys,

de soto, that was the plan but mine didnt come with any originals i think they were discarded when the chop was done figured if i could find something old chromed and small enough itd save some work.

  7. The other reason they ditch 'em is they are vac operated. Look at maybe EK/FB at least these are mechanical with possibly FC mounting (similar shaped screeens and then cut down some wiper arms.

Then again Jase might now what was used on the 50'sih chev that Ray owns. He rewired some of it... Ask him.

  8. cool thanks for the advice devilrod ill pm him and have a snoop for some early holden stuff too

On my 54 I used the wiper motor, blades and arms from a Morris (similar to the one used on the mini).
The arms are adjustable and I only cut a few inches off so that it can slide further in.
On the motor I replaced the wheel with a 130 so that it wipes all the windshield.
Have a look at this link:

i used a wiper motor from a 55 or 56 chevy, it bolts right up to your existing mount, and you can use your orginal parts. but its a 12 volt, you will have to convert yours if you hav'nt already.

  14. Just to get legal....I used a headlight wiper from a European import. About a 6" blade.

I used to have a '71 MG Midget, windscreen was so short top to bottom that it had to have 3 wipers to cover the width.

I bought a set of international scout wiper blades for my chopped 53 chevy on ebay and they are about 8" long, perfect fit with no modifications.

  22. early vw beetle wipers are pretty stubby, about 10"
