I do believe you are right...and if I remember correctly, one year he had a early 70's chevelle all done in plaid.. and motor trinkets in gold.... Funny thing is, 97% of the people here thing thats cool..ppl are still doing thier cars in pastels and splash graphics... I'm actually ashamed I live in Barffalo
I'm usually somebody I did what I could, but some of the proportions are weird. I hadda shorten the grill shell or the hood when up, I have a wheel pants fetish anyway so they stayed and were extended, slightly more subdued color, the engine needs to go in a freak drop painted drag boat and I added a hood, E&Js, and a boat windshield... I think throw it away and start over. Still has weird proportions.
I remember a jacked up Grenada in the town I grew up in. It had centerlines, a homemade visor with like fifty running lights in it and the body must have had a thousand reflectors on it. It was sweet.
That car (car?) looks pretty fast. I think the guy should drive it top speed 'till all that crap blows off of it, and maybe there'll be something usable underneath it all! Here's my vote for 2nd place. Saw it at 'Paso' last year, and took pictures of it 'cause I just couldn't believe it!
Wow! running board sidepipes....at least it's peptobismol colored...which is good cause I have a stomach ache from this thread...
oh,if that thing were flat black or red with flattener added you'd think it's the greatest thing ever..i'd personally get rid of the side pipes..but other than that it's alright..i've seen a car posted on here before with pink steelies and no one said anything about that, but then someone paints a CAR pink and they cry..wouldnt be a bad car for a lady, but for a guy..?! creepy
It would have looked much better if he just would have left it in a nice Hot Rod Primer - that paint just ruins the lines of a beautiful creation. "you hadda good home when you left, you're right" dj
i just trew up in my mouth, however like paperdog said some fake patina and put it on ebay as a olskool barn find and we might get to see the first ever show of occ and boyd together building the ultimate ride of all times. note to self:call the discovery channel and sell them my idea,Hugh King did. The owner of the yella rod should have hooked up with Ronald McDonald for a happy meal toy, back in 1981!
Actually, I'm personally sick of seeing so many cars shot in flat-black! But, the winning formula seems to be flat-black & red wheels, for all the cars getting in to the "Oldschool" style mags. Come on guys, there are other colors! And speaking of colors,...that pink car is not only pink, but it's FLORESCENT PINK! I'll bet it cost him extra too.
I just asked everyones opionion thats all!! In my case i just painted my WW's ( which didn't work out).In this case i'm asking what everyone thinks of the WHOLE car!!!Come on dude you have to admit this is a good point on this one!!lol If you think i gave ya a bad report for the krylon think of what i'll say if you defend this car!!!!!lololololololololol Just kidding JimV
