My '32 Vicky will be Audi blue when I get a functional body. Did you use a standard or custom blend color?

I just looked at a paint chip book and picked one.

I will push it outside tomorrow and take some pictures in the sun...well if it's sunny.

I like it if you spray it again and get it more consistant. And..I vote for the ivory wheels and maybe something else like the frame or maybe the drivetrain ivory with black frame. Even with the black wheels it's going to look good. What would you think about shooting a little metal flake over it with a satin clear? Or, is that too much? Good luck with it!

  6. Exactly! Have the painter finish the paint job like this. Anybody remember this line from Baa Baa Black Sheep / Black Sheep Squadron: "Boy-ing-ton ... I get you next time, Boy-ing-ton!"? Oh, and put one of these air raid sirens on it (http://youtube.com/watch?v=6VKM9M1bUSU). And if you like that, check this out: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ErDZiMHBHpk

Yeah, good choice. There's a lot of black 3Ws running around. That blue will be a mile deep with clear on it.

I like the idea of spraying some clear with metalflake after you get another coat of base. I think it would really make that dark blue stand out nice.

If you want to change it at all, scuff it with some red scotchbrite then drive the life out of it.......

    Just my thoughts.

Either gloss black or the ivory wheel set.

that looks almost identical in tone to my rpu...and i did it on purpose. goes nice with cream wheels.
quite often people refer to my car as black..theres a lot of colour blind dudes round here. leave it. its tuff.

How about a cream or pale yellow pinstripe too?

  20. Clear it and paint the wheels to match. Flat paint is getting way too tired.

In 2000-04, Lincoln had a cool tri-coat color called Ivory Parchment. Have a paint shop mix up a pint of the first/base color for you to try out for the wheels. That would look great with that blue.

  28. I think it is hard to tell true color in artificial light. I like what I can see, but I'd roll it outside for the true test.
