For good looks and forward visibility a chop of 3-5" is good. 6-8" gets into the restricted vision arena and the bottom car on a six-car stack in the boneyard look. If a guy wants to really drive his car, as in daily to work and weekends to work and to the market and the movies and the drugstore, a guy should think a little more about practical majic than about lakes racecar specs.
