Today, 5wbomber and I had this weird idea for a roof, for my sedan, so more talkin lead us to go 1 mile up from his house to get me a new roof, we got there, cut rasberry bushes for 2 hours,Dug like gophers, and hacked away,The car we got the roof off of was a 35 dodge 5 window coupe buiried up to the beltline, we tried to cut the whole roof section off but a tree fell on the back and it wasnt about to move...... There were a bunch of other cars there but everything was in pretty beat up shape;35 Ford 5 window, 36 dodge sedan,31 model A sedan, and a bunch of 50's cars......heres some pics! Here is the cars buiried.. this 35 doner roof was behind the 2 36's in the pic Before After.... My new Model A roof................. And back at the shop........ More to come........hold on
As we brought the roof back to the shop, we started doing some measurements and we actually cut the roof perfect, all the demensions are within 1/4 of an inch to mate to my sedan,The dash was so to speak Perfect so 5wbomber snaked it from me!! Im using a 30 model A sedan, on 28 chevy rails W/ford cross members,a 35 dodge roof section,55 324 olds rocket,32 heavy axle dropped 5",a quickchange, and a 34 ford grille shell............ill keep ya posted! later A veiw from the "BOMBERS" shop
That metal looks good for having lived almost underground. What was that. a soil stabilization project? How long has that stuff been buried?
We know the old guy who dumped em he says there since the 40's, the roof is a 35 dodge......there was still paint on the body a foot and a half down ........heres the dash....and a door i cut off the 36 sedan.
