What is the going rate at swap meets / flea markets for a space these days? I know it will vary according to show size. Got one this weekend at a local antique car auction , 10x20 spaces are $50.00. In the past, this has not been a highly attended local auction. Been a while since I did this side of the table, just seemed a little high for an outdoor spot. Thanks Dale

I promote a show the first Sunday of each month, and have the cheapest spaces anywhere; 20x25 for $20, each additional space is $10. That's for one day. I try to keep it cheap, because I'd rather have 100 guys show up and make that money, than have just 50 guys show up and charge them double.

I'm doing a two day show the first weekend in March, and am doubling the price of the spaces but it's still really cheap. 20x25 is the size of a two-car garage.

I also offer a 10x50 space, so guys can pull through and not drop their trailer, but those are a pain in my ***; Everyone likes the idea, and I tell them that their trailer is probably close to 10-feet wide and they'll need to vend off the back of it, and they say "Okay," and then take up two spaces anyway. It's not that space is at a premium right now, but then I've got other guys who paid for one spot and only occupied one spot--and then they find out someone else got two spots for the price of one, and it goes down hill from there.

I believe Charlotte AutoFair starts at $75 ... and goes up :(
Mine are higher ~ I have 6 ~ ( Blue Field @ turn # 2 ) but mine are on the pavement and has good traffic. They also do not flood when it rains. 4 day event ... with good attendance ... but the deal is not what it used to be ...

Lots of lookers ... not so many buyers. Lately I just take a tent , sit around and socialize ... drink Diet Cokes and talk with other Hambers. There are 4 or 5 Hambers with spaces within 150 feet of mine and we have a good time. :D
