Yes moved here last summer I managed to find RMR drag strip which is pretty "cool". Sarcasm doesn't translate well over the internet I don't think I am very cool or was I being serious about wanting to hang out with the cool guys like some high school kid.
I didn't even know about the auto-rama which looks like it should be cool dang I used that word again.
I just want to know of some good shows or cruises and maybe some kind of a club around here where people like to hang out talk cars and no matter how cool or uncool they are. All the dorks who wanna talk about religion start your own thread.

Another good hangout is the Southwest corner of Liberty Park on Sundays at noon, weather permitting. Been doing it since 1962. Ever-changing, but staying the same conglomeration of hotrods, restos, customs, and an occasional pedophile to liven the mix.

Not much cruise/show stuff till May. The UVSC show starts it all off. Its at Thanksgiving Point towards the end of May. I usually run out to Wendover about once a month to watch the father in law and brother in law drag their Buick GN's and the 66 buick special. First race is March 11 at the old airstrip.

Man... Ratstar I really was looking forward to going until last week when I was told I'm going to Springfield Ohio for 2 months :(... Gotta love the military... lol, maybe I'll meet some "cool" people there. I'd love to meet all the people from here I just happen to always go somewhere the 2 times a year something actually happens around here. I still need to make it out to G-ville and look at that salvage yard you were telling me about. Take it easy and don't have too much fun.

I was in SLC for three weeks during February a few years back.

    I had a blast there!

30-45 minutes in any direction and you have a helluva view of something or the other.

Is the Skate Park still open? Seems it was down by a large swap meet/flea market type thing?

  9. oh yeah, this is true a great bunch of guys to, lots of Imperials right.

If you get the "Mountain West Street News" there is a lot of info there regarding Shows and Cruise-In's-you can register to get it at the AutoRama-really, there is a lot more to do in Utah with Cars than you might think-

shit, i get distracted by a pretty little thing for a few days and look what i'm missing out on! the hamb is actually letting crazy ole SLC grace its pages on a week other than that of speed :p

don't let all these naysayers make ya think there's not much to do in salt lake. you can honestly know it, no thinking involved. then again, all i do is play with my cars or play in the speed shop at work and talk about cars. hmmm...maybe i have an addiction! seriously though, once spring hits there are a lot of things going on. i find little car shows all the time just driving around and each separate little burgh of the salt lake metro area has a show or two of its own. i also know for a fact that everyone is getting their cars ready for it all because i keep selling all the shit to them.
