I dont want to be the one to take a dump in your oatmeal but...........the March Meet has really ****ed the last couple of years. I keep telling myself this will be the last year but I kept going back. They really need to take some of the money they bring in and put up some shade so you can watch some racing without getting cooked. If I can find a free p*** I might consider going but I wont pay $30 bucks again.

If you show up at about two in the morning you can drive in and park right next to the track and not pay for entry and have great parking. not that I would know or do that cause that would be against the rules, thats just what I heard.

No, just part of a long list. Besides the third degree sunburn you have a ****py swapmeet and lots of vendors selling sungl***es and cookie jars to look forward to.

  6. For those that are not aware,,
The Goodguys are no longer involved in staging the March Meet.
I also know that the Bowsers(track owners) have requested a strong presence of Cacklefest cars at this years Meet.
I dont think there will be a Cacklefest per se',but there will be some push starts & static fire ups of old Fuelers all weekend.
This will be an interesting event for sure.
Muttley,,,Ive got some sunscreem in my truck with your name on it:D

I'll be there with our Nova racing and maybe my 55 in the show. Dont know yet. So look out for the purpleish pink (barney) colored Nova in the Hot Rod cl***. It'll have ****py times with me behind the wheel!

As usual, the Vipers will be in our usual spot, at the far end of the pits. Come by and say hi. And if your timing is right, have a HemiBurger™, DiggerDog™ and/or some Hydrazine Flash Chili™.

    See ya'll there.

  9. "COOKED" in early March? That's ****ing hilarious! Last year it was postponed a week for rain, and the backup weekend was pretty wet too as i recall.

  10. Oh yeah, i'm going for sure. But, as Muttley pointed out, be prepared for scalding hot temps in the mid to high 70's, with a chance at mid 80's. Sorry Mutt, you left an open door around the Groucho. Thursday nite at Squeek's "Pub" nite at his Hot Rod Shop is always pretty cool if you're in town. Cool Drags, good car show, decent swap meet, and lots of cool old race cars littered throughout the grounds. Be sure to walk the pits, as not all cars parked there will run down the drag strip

ok we will be there...... we love all the shows at famosa.....
its always a blast...... and we always take a pop up to put over us to keep out the rain and the sun............... so if anyone needs a place to sit just look for the white pop- up in the stands.............. see you there.

Ill be there, shooting for issue 3. But i will be popping in and out of the currie booth so you can catch me there (goofy hat, big camera...) no car this year as money isnt allowing it. Ive always had a great time at the march meet....

  13. I'm driving the green car there for sure. The "For Sale" thing's a fishing expedition at best. There's no "real" money changing hands for this style car yet that i've seen. As far as racing, i only enjoy racing when that's all that's going on at an event. There's so much going on at this event i had the worse time last time i raced at one. I missed all the stuff that makes this event so great by being tied to the car in the staging lanes, and having to listen all day to the PA system telling me when it's time to run, ect. NO WAY. I'll run it at Fontana or something soon (local 1/4 mile). Thanks for the interest, but i'll have a LOT more fun hangin' out with all you guys i'm sure

    Uhh.........yeah, most of the time.

Yeah, and I like rain/mud even less than being baked.
