Detroit Autorama Roll Call and Meet & Greet Info

Bob, I'm currently sitting on the corner of Halstead and 12 Mile.....how come our paths have never crossed before?? What do you drive?? I'd like to meet you so PLEASE make sure you introduce yourself to me.

 

Lets try this again - got bumped last time.
I used to live at 11 and Halstead.
I'm now at 10 and Inkster in a really cool sub where Hot Rodders can hide - kinda....
Its a big town and a small world......
I have projects and 2 of another guys musclecars
Projects;
'67 Barracuda, Super Stock Mods, 70's drag suspension, 500 hp 440, etc.. Runs and drives - in the home shop (mine) for paint.
1961 Chevy Brookwood Longroof. Lowered, waiting on donor powertrain from the '87 RUSTY suburban (EFI 350 - 700R4)
'33 Chevy 5 glass coupe. Parts, but have most everything.
Gonna be no hood, no fenders, chopped & channelled, 235 3 carb with zoomies, 5 speed traditional hot rod, might paint it, might not

Looks like Knuckle, myself and a friend or two will be heading up Friday morning. Looks to be about a 12.5 hour drive or so. Should be a good time.

We'll be "Puttin on the Ritz" on Saturday night and trying not to fall down the stairs.

 

It's funny the stairs keep coming up in reference to my parties. I just did hardwood floors in the kitchen (since last party) and comtemplated whether to carry the hardwood down the stairs or leave them softly carpeted. Guess what, I left them carpeted cuz I really don't want anyone to crack their head open during a party and ruin the party with blood, guts, police and an ambulance.

Thank God there is only one step down into the new Tiki Lounge.

 

So how would these things ruin the party???

Me and my gal pal Cheriti will be attending the "sausage fest"!!!

We fly in Friday and are staying at the Holiday Inn Express.

LuckysGal and Me will be there Saturday afternoon. We'll try and make the meet & greet at Cobo. We're going to see the Reverend that night, and head to Denise's after the show. We're gonna stick around Sunday too can't wait to meet some fellow HAMBers. Special thanks to the Nightmares and Denise for making all this possible. You guys rule!

 

I will likely be there on thursday afternoon, and again sometime on saturday.

 

I will be there spooning with the So-What gang.

I'll be there all weekend. met some Hambers at the Drags looking forward to meeting more. do you know where your dads 56 is going to be upstairs? I was invited to put my 56 chevy in Cavalcade of Customs area. no hassels of judging as this it is just in there for display so can enjoy weekend more. but we get a free car coat for our troubles.see ya all there eh!

yeah thats my car this will be first time car has ever been trailered. it feels wierd. put over 15,000 miles on her last year never any problems. May not be bringing back as there are a couple guys coming to the show who are interested in buying it.

Dat_Dirty_Rat and I are rolling out of Rochester Friday morning. We'll be in town for most of the weekend.

Not exactly but in years past he has always been no further then 6 cars from the front entrance. He's hoping for an end cap. He's in it for a trophy. He has had a second place in class (with one car) and a third place in his class (with another car). This is the first time showing his '56 at the Detroit Autorama. I'm hoping for the best for him. Your and his cars won't be too far apart, I'll come over on Thursday morning when I get there and say "hi"......besides, I need to get my semi-annual hug and kiss from Chuck Miller.
