hell no bro bring it...some people are ****s but keep your hood down, and enjoy your gas mileage on the way here... if someone thinks a 51 kaiser isn't kool because it has a LT1 you don't wanna kick it with them anyways.
they will let you in though. buy a wristband online

Remember folks, This is PRE 1963 nostalgic hot rod ,traditional custom, and cl***ic car show! If you are running a modern engine dressed with all of the latest acessories that might be ok as long as the rest of the car is traditional. This show has always been this way ! Its nothing new. If you are wondering if your car is appropriate feel free to email us at shifters32@pacbell.net and send a photo of your car. It will save you a lot of stress from being turned away at the gate. Most of you know the drill and have attended many times before.....so disregard all of the above.
But every year someone shows up in a high tech rod, something tubbed,a 70's lowrider,a muscle car,etc and asks how they can enter . If any of you own cars like that no offense , we just have to keep within the Viva Las Vegas theme.

The VLV website will be updated this week,And i will actually be posting something on here ,and letting everyone know who will be our special guests, movie stars, special displays, etc that will be in attendance.

Unitl then, like Johnnie Walker said check out www.vivalasvegas.net

    Thanks, Axle Shifters So-Cal.

Johnnie, before you go, spray on a little rattle-can flat black primer in certain spots on that coop and you'll fit right in...

I heard that my pal Dave drove his "chopped/painted/flamed" '51 Merc to that event and people threw beer bottles at his car cuz it was a "Show car"...makes you wonder what kind of people attend that event...

Oh BTW...Johnnie is NOT a little guy...and he is very particular about his Deuce coop.

  27. There's a Cuff & Pompadour Inspection area as you enter the show, if you don't meet the requirements, you ain't getting in....and with comments like your's, best you stay home....

Like Axle said.....What kinda show do you think it is?

Its called The Viva Las Vegas ROCKABILLY weekend....

AXLE might I ask how many years you have been going? Only the last few have they gotten strict about rules and even then its hit and miss..

I have seen POST 64 cars in there like corvettes and mustangs just wondering what changed within the last few years to get so strict about the rules.

i know viva is not at all a modern show and that's why i love it but, "to each his own" if his car is traditional and he doesn't have $2,000 worth of paint and tuck and roll interior or everything billet or chrome or undercarriage lights or anything gay that is not staying true to the style then he will be "shunned" upon but i wont throw a beer bottle...unless it's empty then that's ok, i dont waste beer :) but there's nothing wrong with an lt1 as long as it's not billeted out and chromed up. that's what i meant by keep your hood down, nobody wants some ***hole with a LT1 and a dressup kit thinking he's kool, showing off his fuel injectors. his rod to me is simply more reliable and fuel efficient. i personally am against it...but if it's sick it's sick.
-flame at will, I can take it!!!
