So the little lady has gone well over the due date for our little buy Liam Padraig. Tonight we go in at 7:00pm CST. She's getting induced and hopefully everything will go smoothly. It's our first, and I'm more excited than anything I've ever been excited for to meet my little garage buddy! But yeah, there's gonna be another one on the docket for "Kids who will grow up around cars, bikes, gasoline, and used oil."
make sure you got gas in the car!! i ran out of gas taking the old lady to the hospital the 1st time. left her in the car while i hiked to the gas station with a jerry can. that was over 30yrs ago, i still catch crap for it
Don't have too much fun whippin shitties in the snow on the way there! Go figure that there would be a hell of a snow storm for ya today! Congrats!
Congratulations... I assume you're Irish by the name you've chosen. My family has been here since the 1880's, but down through the years they have pretty much stuck with marrying into other Irish familys, and we are all proud of our heritage. My latest baby cousin's first name is Cennedi (Kennedy) My folks were pretty traditional in the naming of my brothers and I, although they chose the Americanized version of Padraig for my middle name. Biggest problem I had growing up with the Irish spelling of Sean, was that nobody knew how to pronounce it. Most of my teachers even started out calling me "Seen"... you would think Teachers would know better. Sean Patrick McGrath
Congrats and best of luck for your wife. Mine is about 19 moonths old and it seems like literally yesterday he was born. Hang on and love every minute. God bless. Shane T
Liam Padraig. Thats a great Irish name for a great son I'm sure. Good luck. My boys are Travis Donovan and Connor Patrick.
congrtas but dont eat anthihg till after the babay is born.. I messed up man i was starving then i said screw it i ate me a doube meat and double cheesburger and as soom as i finished it i was overstuffed, then BAM she was in labor, I almost threw up in the delivery room becasue all of the funky smells and a very full stomache... LOL
HEYYY CONGRATS!! I have two a girl who is almost 7 and my son jsut turned 1 on Valentines day. We were 26 miles down North Padre Island in our dually inthe 4x4 only area. I was out past the 2nd sand bar with my dog, and nephew. She motions to me and waves us in. Mind you she is sitting on the beach at the waters edge in a chair sunken into the sand. Anyhow I get up to her and she rubs her belly and says "I think I'm In labor" I FREAKED OUT!!! It was our first kid and she was 1 1/2 weeks early. So I throw everything in the truck and start to leave. Needless to say it was a long drive home. Good thing is she didn't have Miranda untill noon the next day. Now with Billy, we went in for a Dr.s visit just a regular check up, and he walks back in after the 3rd sonogram and says "we have 2 choices, you can go on bed rest here inthe hospital so I can monitor you and try to buildyour amniotic fluid or we can deliver within 24 hours. So needless to say the following morning, at 7:57 am Billy was delivered C-Section on Valentines day. Oh yeah he was 1 day shy of 8 weeks early at 4 lbs 8 oz. 10 days in NICU and he came home What a hell of a cool gift he was too. I attached a couple of pics from the Houston Auto show. Let us know how the little guy is doing when you get home.
Thanks for all the congrats and good lucks guys! Liam Padraig was born last night at 9:35p.m. via c-section. The little lady is only 5' tall and 90-95 lbs (pre preggers) and though the contractions were going great he was just too big to be born! (He was overdue by almost a week and a half.) I'll definitely post up pics as soon as we get back from the hospital and such. He looks great... and I could have sworn that somewhere in the cooing and baby noises I heard the words "My first car better be a traditional hot rod, dad."
congradulations!! you'll have a blast! i've heard they're good for grabbing wrenches that fall in tight spots... haha
Awesome, and congratulations. Nothing like it in the world. When you get to take everybody home, pay attention. For us, it was a little surreal. "Wait, we get to take this kid home with us? No way!" Best of luck to you.
Way to go guy! With that extra week and a half I'm going to assume that you were able to finish decorating his new room with old rusty car parts?! Our little Diego was born 4 weeks early so I had to have my dad finish painting his room while we were in the hospital. You and the family will have to come out to our place for Hot Rod Barbeque Year 5 in September. Congrats, Chris
We'll definitely be there. Maybe the 34' Pickup will even be done by then! (Though I won't hold my breath! I have to finish my cafe bike beforehand!)
Congrats! BTW the bottom drawer in a toolbox works as an excellent cradle. you can't start 'em too young. Although mom might have an issue with the whole baby sleeping in a toolbox.
The only issue mom would have would be that she won't get a drawer of her own! I lucked out and got a lady that likes cars and bikes too! Here's some pics of the boy... There he be.
dont lie now,you are just starting your own pit crew. that boy looks like one fired up hot-rod tricycle engine R.R.
AWESOME!!!! Handsome young man, I guess he gets his good looks from mama? haha Just kiddin bro. I always get teased about my kids getting their looks from mama. I don't think I am a bad lookin guy, but then again I am biased lol Take good care of him, Mine turned a yr old on Valentines day, and I can never get enough of him. just bought him a big assed tonka dump truck today too So now he is able to get out and get muddy and dirty Jus tlike his 6 yr old sister on her 4 wheeler. Have fun bro.
All the best to ya- Glad that Mom and Son are well (Dad too I guess...LOL!!) Ours is coming in July, and we know she'll be a little girl (Melody Grace). We'll have to plan for them to meet so they'll both have someone to hang out with at the local shows! All my best Amigo- This parenthood thing is scary, but I'm looking forward to it too!! ~Scotch~
Definitely sounds like a plan. You gonna make it to the hot rod barbecue? Sounds like that will be a good time for sure! It would definitely be nice for the boy to have some other "hot rod families" to hang out with. Gotta start em' out young anyhow, right?
Definitely sounds like a plan. You gonna make it to the hot rod barbecue? Sounds like that will be a good time for sure! I won't miss it! I went last year and Chris throws a heck of a party! I'll bring the hot rod station wagon next time tho- to haul the family and all that killer chili I brew up. The slammed S-10 should be long gone by then (I hope) and I felt like a goober driving it anyway... It would definitely be nice for the boy to have some other "hot rod families" to hang out with. Gotta start em' out young anyhow, right? Hell ya! We have been joking that we needed to know if it was a boy or a girl so I'd know what color toy cars to buy...! LOL I look forward to meeting you - maybe even before Chris' BBQ? I've got an entire station wagon to buff out if you're bored...! LOL!! ~Scotch~
