So far so good. They decided the old tumor removed from her thyroid last year was cancer even though it didn't look like it because this new tumor they took out was thyroid material that had spread up under her jaw by the gland. We at first thought it was just the gland swollen from being sick and having also had lots of dental work. They took the rest of the thyroid, the tumor and all the lymphoids on the left side. She is cut from the left ear down under her jaw to the chin, then a J coming down the left side looping over where her thyroid was. She is still in pain and hella moody. She will be having a radiation pill soon, easy, 'cept for the fact she can't be around our babies for 2 weeks after. Or even me for at least a week. After that all should be good. Thanks for noticing us.
Hang in there. Me and my wife have both fought the beast and won, thanks to the amazing gifts God blessed our doctors with.
Keep up the good fight. My brother had the same surgery 32 years ago by a talented surgeon in Dallas.Sounds like the same cuts.Has to take a Thyroid pill daily,but... He's living happily in BenLomond,CA. now with 7 grandchildren!
Glad they didn't just treat her for a swollen glad and send her home. My wife is now a five year survivor - let's pray your wife gets there (and beyond) too. Good Luck, Dennis
Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I have survivors in my family as well and know the battle's tough, but can be won. Bryan
Thanks guys, the road is rough but the destination is in sight. I've been on a leave from work and still don't have time to work on the car. Family is more important.
