Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by beatnikontinental, Mar 24, 2004.

  1. well - the first wave has hit - Von Franco and Lee Pratt just hit town from CA - Franco's Coupe is sporting a fresh and shiny coat of paint and brand new stripes - lookin good - you'll have to come to the show to see it.

    wheres everyone else?

we'll see you soon (tick, tock)

  4. that coupe looked even better in the light this mornin - purple/blue flake with white/blue stripes. Its nice to wake up and look out my window and see a wicked little 32 parked next to my 61 cad. I could get used to such a sight...

I emailed Franco to see if they needed a place to stay this weekend. That's funny that they are staying there. Heaven forbid that house is ever sold to somebody we don't know. Won't they be suprised when Franco walks in the door the last week in March and lets 'em know he'll be there for the weekend.

Is Mrs. Von Franco in town? Mrs. Buzzard's lookin' for drinkin' buddies!

  7. Lee brought his killer 58 Chevy - it was just featured in the last Rodder's Journal - dig that crazy lace/flake top. He was thrashing on a new ride for this year (a shoebox, I believe), but didn't quite get it finished.

Hey Buzz - you and the missus wanna come over to casa de beatnik and hang out tonight? Mrs Franco is indeed here too. I'll grab some beers and you can help me stuff envelopes while you catch up - I have several hundred registration packets to get together for the m***es... Yer invited too, Krup

  8. Star cars? - a certain bearded Texas gentleman's '36 Ford will be making an appearance.

talked to Wild Bill last night - he installed the train airhorns in the caddy yesterday and is ready to wake up half the population of Travis Heights upon arrival.

Cool. I'm supposed to go to the owner's ranch for a "manager appreciation" steak dinner. If I can get out of it, I will. What time, tonight?

  10. heck I dunno - that would involve planning - just give me a call

    Smitty, here:

    Trumpster

Hudson, about 10:30-11:00. Have to load the Triumph and wash the B***-o-matic that morning.

Typical B***, were leaving Carl's corner at 11:30-12:00 and
B*** in not leaving DFW until 11:00. It's at least an
    hour drive.

$100 says he makes it in time with no tickets. Will that Hudson keep up going 90?

For the record, he asked what time I'd be coming through Ft. Worth. It takes me 30 minutes to get to southside Ft Worth from my house.

I'm pretty sure we'll make Carl's Corner by 11:30-12 no sweat....I doubt anyone's going to take that bet. [IMG]

if ol'Hudson Hawk gets there before you guys forget about it.....no "taters" for you!

  27. Boones - yes, thats the one - it is a super clean lookin kustom - that lace top is some crazy voodoo paint action. I remember seeing it in LA when he first got it - he flew out and and drove it home - really nice stocker - drove it right into his garage and started sanding off the paint and doing his deal on it. wastes no time...

  28. I'm as happy as a leetle girl. See you chuckleheads mañana noche!
