I'm always amazed at the generousity of my fellow HAMBers. Class act guys. There are no "bad guys" on HAMB auctions. I would venture to say that the majority of people who bid on these auctions do it more to help support this place that we all love ,than they do to win the actual item (okay, I REALLY wanted the HAMB SKULL). Very cool auction and very cool bidders. Peace out.

No bad guys at all sweetie, don't fret. Read my above statement. I'm hanging with my orginal plans that I've had for almost two years now and it will go down real soon.

    Good luck to all bidders!

    OldCarMike ROCKS!

The only bad thing about HAMB auctions is that I can't bid on em... This is one of those I would be all over.

    Too cool of you oldcarmike.

Sorry bout that. Didn't mean to bend anyone feelers.

There are only a hand full of members on this board that I would love to hang out with if they were closer and Denise is on the top of that list.
She does a TON to promote the HAMB.
I'd like to thank her for that any way possible.
If it were closer, I'd be snapping up the interior for myslef on Fuelpumps ol 37.
Best of luck to all who bid. :D

Seams like an awful lot of money for some Mexican blankets, but hey, they'll be some NICE ones!

Anybody got any specs on Mexican blankets, by the way? I weave a little bit and this is inspiring me to make my own and maybe a set for a future auction. I need to know typical color combos, materials (wool?), and sizes. I have a 45" loom but if I do it right and double thread, I can make up to 90" wide.

  6. LOOKS like this ones over..nobody is going to bid against the HAMBS most beloved member.....And live to talk about it, LOL .

Thanks for the kinds words sweetie BUT I do not have high bid, 40Vert does.....unless of course you were referring to him.;) :D

  8. I missed your decline of Craig s offer it looked like you were at 1200 and he was at 1100 Sorry! NO it was you I was talking about LOL

  9. We're only at $1,100 boys and girls. Dig a little deeper!! Pull out the couch cushions and hit up all your buddies that owe you money. The HAMB gets some cash and you get an interior. What a deal!!

  12. Uhm Denise darling, look at your calendar. Today is the 27th. The auction ends at 10:00PM February 28th.

She was also writing in 3rd person. Sounds like she needs a little alone time to sort things out!

What is your best guest-a-met on the material price for a black & red vinal for a 46 Ford business coupe w/ rear seat?

  16. I've been PMed several times with the question "How much will materials cost?" For a full size car needing everything, including foam and padding for bare seat frames the range is about $500. That's vinyl, foam, carpets, carpet padding, boards for panels, headliner material, etc & misc stuff. Now of course, if you want leather seats and wool carpets the price for those is going to be higher, but all in all the $500 range should cover everything you'd need for a complete interior including the stuff you wouldn't think about.

Thats great. Surprised it went this low, considering all the work thats needed to do this. What would be best way to get funds to Ryan. I'll have to bring a couple or so 24s of Molsons with me.

Congrats on a very cool auction.

  26. Send Ryan a PM and he'll let you know how to handle the funds.

The beer is your call, I won't be drinking when I'm working though 'cuz nothing will get done if I do.

Yes sir, it's gonna be a lot of work and one hell of a trash for me but I'm up for it. Someone else will have to take pictures because I'll have my hands full. BTW, what kind of car am I gonna be get all perty for you?

For everyone that bid I thank you very much.

1960 Olds 88 with a 4" chop shaved lowered bought from Kevan in Riverside Cal. Forgot his Hamb name. Want to do it up old style tuck n roll. also I'd be happy to help in any way. would like to pick up some pointers on interior work.

  28. Very cool!! I love doing tuck and roll even though it's a lot of sewing. You'll learn a lot; maybe even a new swear word or two... I guess you're far enough away that I can show you some of my secrets. ;) I'll show you as much as I can without slowing down the process too much.

If you can, maybe post a picture of the car so the folks at home can see what's getting the treatment.

Crap! I had class last night, and I posted my bid during the one break we had, otherwise I woulda probably sniped you, kool1!! Congrats on the win though, you're getting quite a deal and supporting a great place!! Sounds like a cool car too, looking forward to pics...

Thanks to Mike for such a killer auction too! Mike, maybe I'll have to hit you up for an interior anyway sometime at full price... would you still let me help?
