f100 brake question

    i have a 1961 f-100 unibody with a solid axle .was wondering what disc brakes would fit this,any info would be great thanks in advance

    your best bet would be to buy a conversion kit.

    Im not really sure if it helps but alot of late 1980's Toyota pick-up stuff bolted up great on the straight axel on my F-100. Thats the best I can do for you. Sorry I cant help more

    Go to www.ford-trucks.com . They just had a tech article on a brake conversion using a partial kit (brackets) and common rotors/calipers sourced from the auto parts store or, if you prefer, junkyard.

    However, I think the final total came out to be roughly the same as a kit. The only advantage was that you could purchase the parts as you went along and funds allowed. No inital big purchase. It's worth a look.
