ok, so i gotta plug the busch brothers on this one. the burnout is cool, but it is the woohoo...yeah! at the end that is the best!!! http://youtube.com/watch?v=IQ1jLMW-Cn8 midnight340, that burnout is awesome! i love the tire chunks flying toward the camera at the end!
Oh yeah, that is awesome!! I watched a guy in a Bucket do something similar, not quite as much smoke, followed by a loud bang and copious amounts of steam. Blew the top radiator tank apart.
That "ratrod" is a local car here in Melbourne, always does really well in burnout comps but you guys are kidding about the best burnout thing arent you? I'll dig up some vids of REAL burnouts for you then.
Personally, since the quarter mile smoke runs of the 60s, a stand on the brakes and gas it burnout just don't do much for me.
Back in school a friend of mine enetered his car in the burnout contest at the local dragstrip. 225 Electra with a blown rear brake line. He smoked the tires relentlessly - at first it started to sound like a railroad car - tick tick tick after several minutes he started to wear down to the steel belts - the noise was the steel belts - he of course continued - after another minute or so the rear tries LITERALLY burst into flames. It was spectacular. Needless to say I belive he won that night!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOD29pfkRMw Gary Myers.....world burnout Kiing (?) Aussie street machiners can't be beat for burnouts....
OK, I give it to the Gary Meyers burn. Appreciate the sharing....I think the Tire Rack online store oughta post these.
That was awesome!!!, If he had only got away. Hmm sounds like a good thread starter... get away stories
Love the chunks of tire flying out of the smoke cloud at the end. I saw a Pontiac Catalina and a '63 Chevy pickup go nose to nose one time... THAT was better. It was around 1984. They went after it for about 5 minutes and I think I can still smell the smoke. JOE
Here is another from Australia. George is the king.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFYmegN_9Vw&mode=related&search=
