Well after two years building this thing and a couple days figuring out this injection stuff, IT RUNS!!!! We still have to do the fine tuning, but I had to share this little video with you. this is the Prototype injection system from retrotech, very primative design.... FUN!!!!hahaha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1qw4Kp3L38
It's running really rich right now, we still gotta tune in the throttle positioning at idle, because the ****erflys are slightly open at 0% throttle, with a little tweaking tomarrow it should lean up a touch and run smoother. Dave Tatom built the engine three years ago, Ken Ferrell(sp) built the injection system and had mooneyes market the deals, this is the prototype, this is old school F.I.!!hahaha j/k! they are in thier third system now. Ollie Morris built the Mag. into an h.e.i./mallory unit, and we installed the timing adjuster in the center of the gauge cluster. GMgrunt made the dial face in silicon(sp) bronze...
some joker just called me and told me to watch it. I cant wait to see it in person. I hope i get to hear it too. Ill try not to forget to rub the knee. hahahaha
That thing sounds Awesome. Now, I gotta save all my pennies to get alot of cool speed pieces for mine. Very nice.
As soon as it's dry....slet?sleat? going on right now.. I've got the okay from the local (small) airport to run the car down the taxi-way I'd like to get a ww2 plane to fly over the car and I think I can hook that up....now I just need a good video camera....
Saw it in Pomona. Looked good. Met your dad. You were not around. My dad introduced me to the owner. He(MY DAD) built a dash panel for another one of his cars. Car sounds solid. Good job!
that would be AWESOME! we'll have to drag ****o out to take some still shots for the website at the same time. Jeff and i'll be out to see you tommarow (saturday).
