And how the slids and sides hook to the windshild.
I am trying to make my Gl*** (NONRUST) coupe have a swinging windshild like a stock coupe.
Now dont tell me it's a kit car i have cut more out of this car and changed it then i did on my 55 chevy. (trans tunnel' trunk for rear end and all kinds of ****)
    Any ways HELP pls
    Thanks Dave

Might be looking at more work then it's worth, I just looked at a guy's 32 3 window who had the same request. The problems I saw was a solid oak header instead of multipiece steel and serious gl*** work just to get a frame to sit in the body. Not sure if your body is the same of course.

you might be able to zoom in on this a little and get an idea. its wescotts setup and an original beneath header area...plus the 3 w had there own hinges not like the 5w or tudors as far as i know, but they might be made to work if ya just gotta..

I have a UK made 5w body which comes without wood. I steel framed out the entire body to take door hinges/latches and then tied through to the trunk hinges/latch as well. From the steel 'cage' I put in the cowl area I ran uprights through each screen pillar and then welded on a crosspiece across the top of the screen area. This is bonded to the gl*** body with Sikkaflex, an adhesive which remains slightly flexible. I used this crosspiece to mount original style hinges onto a repro screen surround. I could not get any original 5w hinges so a friend made some pretty close copies starting with a heavy duty household hinge. Don't laugh....they are really good! When putting the uprights into the screen pillars I welded studs on them to take the side arms/spin wheels.
All seems to work well for me. No photos as it's all stripped out again but could maybe piece it back together if you need them.
