I hate to ask but I'm having a hard time deciding on a paint scheme.
I'm doing body work now and paint is soon to come. The truck is going to be so much different than this picture. It's got a custom style to it now. The wheels are going to be upgraded to. I'm thinking at this point some 16" supremes with narrow WW's Also the back sits even with the front now.

I'm having a hard time deciding between 3 paint scheme's

    #1 all shinny black
#2 all Shinny Black body with flaked red roof
#3 all shinny black body with satin red roof

I would paint the roof from the body line just above the fuel filler. Leave the A pillar and door window frame black

I think it would be hard to photo shop flake and satin paint but if I could just see what the roof would look like red I think it would help a lot.
Also if you could lower the rear even with the front I think it would help me visualise it better.
The red I'm looking for would be a darker rich red Similar to Ferrari red. Anything close would be great. Hell the red like on the alignment machine behind the bed in the pic would be close enough to give me an idea.

Thanks to anyone willing to give me a hand.
Please feel free to add any suggestions. This truck is going to have a lot of modifications while maintaining a mostly stock feel/apearance. so ideas are welcome no matter how far out they are.
    Mike

Here, it was the best I could do on short notice, I realize it's not black but you get the idea.

I love that truck. Lots of pictures of it on my hard drive. I have lots of pics of your uni too. Great inspiration.

I **** at photoshop. Better for me to describe to Jeem what I want and he draws it.

I have seen the color combo you are looking for. Shiny black with solid red is the way to go.

OK, I tried this. I lowered it further on both ends. And went with bigger slots(16s). I like it black. But I could not see the top red. So I went with some real basic scallops. I am sure there are others out here that can do the scallops better. But you get the jist. I hope this helps.

Thanks builtbyme. I'm not loving that red top. I'm going to have to put more thought into this.

    Thanks,

Hey Elpollacko.... what's that grill out of on your '63? Looks killer!

My dad has a '64 that's in the early stages of restoration... love those old f100's!

My grille is from a 1963 Mercury Monterey. I narrowed it 4 1/2" from the middle.

There is annother HAMB guy and www.slick60s.org guy that goes by Comet who is doing an early Galaxie grill. Haven't seen pics yet but should look just as killer.

Elpollacko, I just noticed that you have no front license plate mount on your bumper. I was about to order 2 painted bumpers and cut them up to make one and then have it chromed just to acheive this.
    What bumper are you using?

You're on the right track, ELP used at least a couple to lose the license recess as well as narrowed the whole thing to fit the truck mo' betta, not to mention the tunneled notch in the bottom etc., etc..

The things we do for subtle changes. I am planning to narrow mine as well and move it in closer to the body. Man I was hoping to have the first one :) .

I'm doing a **** load of bodywork that almost no one will notice. But it's all the small things that add up to make a huge impact.
