Found this on craigslist. It looks to be a stock model A 28/29 Phonebooth pickup, then you look at the cab and its not phonebooth or 30/31. And it doesnt look like its made from a sedan , What the hell is it?

It looks like a '28-'29 2 door sedan shortened to a truck cab. Farmers used to do it all the time. Not to unusual.

Exactly, It's a tudor sedan that was made into a pick up. Real common back in the day.

Here's another Sedan transformed into a pickup. I took it into Photoshop and did a few different versions. Sage green version is my fav.

I just talked to the seller, he is selling it for inlaws. He says the ***le is 29 and for a truck, and that he has had it 'looked at' and it's originally a truck! Not like any I have seen however, probably converted from a see-dan during WW2 to get more gas availability? You would think a 'collision center' would be able to tell, but it may be a good job of converting. He wants 10k or close for it. If anyone wants me to look at it I can. He says it starts well, runs well, has mechanical brakes yet etc etc. I can see it now with 16's, big/little rubber, reverse eye spring, straight duals................

Yeah it definatly doesnt look like a sedan conversion, becuase the rest of the cab behind the window would be wayyy longer than it is.

I think its a cutdown sedan they just chose not to put the extra metal in the back making more like a standard pick up cab. I'm looking thru Henrys Ladys and not seing anything like it.

Maybe someone put a 30-31 window in a 28-29....but the back of the cab looks more rounded than the 28-29 trucks. Suggesting its a sedan cutdown.

holy **** that looks identical to me! see how the back of the cab is still flat like a p/u cab? not like a shortened sedan where it curves in towards the bottom.. WTF? is it a REALLY good coach job from somewhere here in the NW or an overlooked barely produced model?

$10K???? That is really steep for a cut up tudor pickup. And believe me, that is what it is. Been around A's all my life (56 years young) and it is without a doubt a sedan of some sort modified into a pick up.

That's what he is trying to get close to, at least at this point. I am not interested at that price, or even near, but if someone was I would peek at it first of the week for 'em. Tim :)
