who's goin? is there a H.A.M.B meet set up, or are we just gonna look around the food and beer for other hambers?? i did some searches but didnt find anything except a post about it not being put on by goodguys this year
The Vipers will be at our same spot as usual. Back of the pits, by the windsock. If it isn't sold out so much that there won't be parking around us, we can host a HAMBer meet up there. As usual I invite you guys to have a DiggerDog, HemiBurger and some of my infamous Hydrazine Flash Chili. Also we will be hoisting a toast to our members who have gone to the Great meeting at the Top End at 10 am Saturday. I'll be mixing some ****** Caligulas again. Mmmmmm.
just found this post.....ok, i'm an idiot. i do remember the rain last year and i wasnt able to go on the "make up" day because of work. lets hope this year is better. muttley, you gonna give it another shot? i am looking fwd to some chili too!!!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=160726&highlight=famoso
Lets keep this towards the top if we could. Im headed up this weekend for the test-n-tune & will try & take a picture of where the Vipers will be,,,,its easy to find. Muttley aint going,,,he's worried about a sunburn
Who are you going to the T&T with? I'm heading up also, I think. We can hit Cactus Valley for some Messykin Food.
If Muttley makes it I'll save him a chair under the canopy. But that's about it. He has to apply his own sunscreen
Chili.. you guys need to hit up some better Mexican food than that. I might swing over there this weekend too. Definitely that saturday the 10th though.
I'm heading up with my brother for a day. Saturday. Just gonna spectate and relax a bit................and burn...........................and eat chili.
HAHAHAHA.............I never knew I was so loved. I havent made up my mind yet. I know that if I dont go everyone will be ranting and raving about how good it was this year.
Well be in the Grove with the Binder and if you want some decent Mexican food while in Bakersfield, check out Don Pepes at Wilson and S. Real Rd. Wilson Rd is the next major road south of Ming and Pepe's is a little more than a quarter mile to the west of 99.
You know the Loco banditos will be there. You need to hit the Arizona Café on Baker street. No joke the best Mexican food you will ever have! Baker street 1/2 block north of East 21 street.
what time is the T&T? I would like to head down there and see about shooting some stuff this weekend. I have never been there the weekend before. Is it "pay to enter" or just go?
I'm comming down. But I don't know if I'm driving down the coupe or just driving down my truck. Scott
I'm racing my Nova in Hot Rod and my peach 55 will be in the show. So ya all better cheer on the Barney colored Nova.
Yeah, it's not the March Meet, the CHRR is a totally different animal. It may be held in the same place but thats where the similarities end. The weather is much nicer in October than it is in March............it's starting to cool down by then and theres way less chance of rain.
Are you STILL whining about the weather? Be glad it don't rain and enjoy yourself. People all over the world wish they had these things to attend. ****ing March in SoCal? How hot can it get, 85 degrees? Yur killin me Larry. Oh yeah, i'm going. Thursday night at Squeeks, and Fri-Sat. at the track
I'll be there with the new rail trying to run NE-1. Stop by the trailer if you need a cold drink ( no beer in pits, yeah right) looks like it is gonna be a hot one. I'm just glad to be getting out of the freakin snow. Car number 7576. Also might need a crew member or two if interested.
I believe if you re-read YOUR post, that you'll find that YOU did. You comment about the March Meet and CHRR being 2 different animals, and the WEATHER was your main/only issue. Lighten up, but whether it's cooling down by October, or not yet hot in March..........if it's too hot for you, i guess that's all that matters. Stay home and read about it
OK, first. i'm in s***ches right now! Second, if ChilPhil(?) brings you sunblock, i'll rub it on your nose, since he says he won't. Third, i'm sorry but you're not a handsome man , unless the lighting is a little "off" in this photo. OOPS, s***ches again
Squeek's got a shop in Bako building Deuce frames, and Hot Rods. Every Thursday he has "Pub" nite. On the Thursday before March Meet or CHRR it's especially packed! Beer, ********, and Pizza. Bring a little of each is kinda tradition i think. Bucket o wings, pizza, or beer or not.
"Oly" ,sans Lena and I are heading out at 6 AM from sin city . With over 400 entries and good weather it should be great event . --I can't wait , breakfast at Zingo's , try their bacon & eggs basted in #2 diesel, a treat to remember . Have a safe trip HAMBers!
