So my friend Andy just couldn't live without Eric's 31, a deal was made and the car has a new owner. The weather this weekend was great so we did some moc-up. Eric is the man! - he supplied Andy with a killer set of wheels, and a *****'n frount end set up. Next is the motor and ******.......any ideas????
Look at you, posting pictures and ****. R-I-L-E-Y.for future reference. HA! 4-71 blown 327,muncie 4 speed. There was a 283 and 700r4 in the post on Sunday for $700.00 came out of a 55 Chevy.Worth a call.
I like the highboy look. Plan to make one similar to its stance. This gives you rear seat area for storage or kiddies. You could also consider a Y block. Great looking sedan.
Love it......pretty much the same project that I plan on starting soon. I actually drove two hours yesterday to look at a 30' tudor sedan. I can't wait till' my project is at the build point of your friends!I'll be sitting in that thing making imaginary engine sounds!!! Cool ride, best of luck to you guys with the build.
I'm going to risk ***ignation here but alternative engines are getting less alternative all the time. The uncommon hemi, nailhead, early caddy, or early Olds (or Chevy dressed up up to look like one) are getting rather common. Why not use a '59-64 Olds 394? There are lots of parts still available for them from Offenhauser and they used to be a drag racer's favorite in the early 60s. Tom
Sorry Eric........I ment to spell Riley insted of Riely.....I feel like a penny waiting for change. See what happens when your on the HAMB and try to work at the same time......I'm going to take a three hour lunch and get drunck !!!!!!!
I'd get a front crossmeber on that frame for the spring, then I like the post on the 394 Olds by 39delux. Been a long while since I seen that used in a rod. Don't forget some radius rods or bones attached to frame on front also.
Early Olds motor with all the right OEM details only sporting three deuces (prototype J2?), 4-speed, quickchange... Great profile going.
I really like the way the smaller whitewall looks on the back. The 1950 Merc wheels worked out great. Gotta keep doubleA focused and get 'er done. OFT,it's getting a bulldog perch and it has 48 split bones in the picture. Might even put a rear end under it too.
Eric, Dude, I really need those slot mags for my 3W! Do you still have them? Just kidding they are F'ing ugly! When are you and Aussie Steve coming out to see the shop? Tex
I second that but in Flathead Cad-Cyclone form Side shift LaSalle Box and of course a Riley Supplied Cyclone Quickie! You want different with eye popping appeal. That will do the trick!
