the frame i got with the 28 roadster was set up for a small block chev...it is a TCI with TCI side engine mounts...it looks like the guy i bought it from was having trouble with it because the drivers side was removed and rewelded about 3/8 lower than the pass. side....the measurement between the mtr mnt bolt centers is 16 5/8"....is that correct for a small block chev or has this thing been set up wrong???TIA

Drop a small block in there and see how it sits.

SBC motor mounts came in diffeerent thicknesses so he may have bought a mismatched set and adjusted to compensate.

    good point..thanks

i phoned TCI....very helpful...the measurement is 16.5 " center to center and top of the mount sits flat and fush with the top of the frame(for others future searches)...mine has been tweaked....i'llcut it off and redo it
