Does anyone know which years/other GM cars have compatible parts for a 1952 Buick Special? Also, anyone know where I can get body panels (rear fenders, hood, spare tire pan)? Thanks!
Really, the only other GM car that shared a body with the '51-'53 Special is the Olds Super 88 I believe, but it has totally different body panels. I suggest you start withe the old stand-bys--ebay, Hemmings, buickclub.com, buicks.net...put out a wanted ad or search the cl***ifieds. New parts can be found at bobsautomobilia.com, oldbuickparts.com, Wheatbelt Buick has used parts, buickfarm.com has NOS...body panels are going to be strictly used, as nobody reproduced them....good luck!
I have Buick parts book from that erra. Give me an exact body style, and I can look. As for sources, check on buickclub.org for Wheetbelt Auto in OK which specializes in Buicks. Start taking road trips West... Stuff is out there. Buick sold very well in those days. Hav fun with a cool car, Doug Cook
I have the 52 Buick Special series 40, model 41. Wondering about an interchangeable radiator. You know what other car parts fit the 52 Buick? Gerardo
glad to see some one else in NC with a 51-53 buick. I have not had luck with body pannels they had lower front 1/4 s for a 2 door a while back on ebay. oldbuickparts.com has floors. I ended up buying an aluminum rad after measuring the size and ordered the closet to the old one.
yeah i have a 52 buick that i cant find front drum backing plates and rear drums for.......anyone know?
You got questions, these guys have answers, great group of people, www.teambuick.com there is buick stuff out there, just have to look for it, cool part is you will be one of the few guys that have it.
My 51 Special model 45R (two door hardtop) also came from North Carolina and was imported in Holland in 1990, still has it and in pieces for many years.
