just wondering how they would look. on the site it says they tuck between the frame rail and motor but the measurements they give seem different.
ne of my buddies has a set on his SBC '27 roadster. They weren't long enough. After making some drilled extensions, they look great. SOund like zoomies. They are very well built peices but for that kinda scratch, they better be.
pete, got any pics??? and, do they come over the frame rails before dropping? would love to see a set on the car before dropping that cash.
Don't have any pics. I'll see if I can get some this weekend. They come over the rails before turning up.
I was wondering the same thing, it looks like they are some weird stick on thing, kinda messed up.... 39
anyone else used these? I was thinking about getting them for my T. I would get the 24" long ones though.
I am considering 16" long one's for my '33 pickup. 1 7/8" dia. on a fairly stock 283 concerns me, though. That might blow the deal for me. Any input on that?
FWIW - Funny car style headers, which the Sanderson units seem loosely based on, aren't zoomies. The headers on the car in the attached picture are zoomies. Anything with additional length and/or bends, doesn't qualify. Open pipes that are straight pieces of tubing (ala "rat rod" headers) aren't zoomies either. IMHO, these Sanderson headers look plain goofy, proving that quality and good design/taste don't necessarily go hand in hand.
Another try with the "Zoomie" header photo. Sorry. Don't know why it didn't "take" in my previous post.
I like the looks of zoomies on some cars, but at idle they sound like a boat or a tractor unless they're on a blown engine.
