Hello everyone. I've been lurking here for a couple of years now, and finally decided to join up. I'm 25, married, with three kids (two dogs and a cat). I work the shop counter at a Chevy dealer in Dallas to try and make ends meet. I've got a 40 Chev project that I'm trying to sell to finance my new car. I just got a 34 Chev tudor. It's in pretty good original condition with the usual wood gone, but a good body with the factory running gear. I keep telling my dad that I want to stay with a inline and the straight axle (the cars a standard), but he doesn't understand. Anyway my plans are to get it somewhat drivable for next spring. I don't have any metal-working skills yet, and not much first hand knowledge of cars this old but I'm learning! I doubt I'll be able to help any of you guys and girls out much, but I'll sure as hell be asking alot of questions.
Welcome Jimmy, The 34 Chevy Tudor is a cool car, But a lot of wood, You can buy the wood it's priceeeeeeee , I rebuilt one about 6 year's ago, Well, Welcome, and Good Luck on your project.
Welcome, the only way to learn is to watch and ask questions,,,,,,heck, even us ol' graybeards learn something every now and then,,,,,,,,Of course,it's usually something we forgot! HRP
Welcome Jimmy I learned to weld with a gas ax and an old 34 Chebie...! Replaced the wood with one inch square tube. Just ask before you start hacking things apart...! Mark
