Great cars... I had a 52 tudor myself. Had a lotta fun with the car and it took all my punishment and kept on ticking..
Getting your first Hot Rod is like having *** for the first time, it just keeps getting better and better.......
Cool Stuff! Nice to see you got rid of the ****alier . . . nice "trade up" you might say! What are your plans for it?
Great stuff man, great stuff. Now that you're on the journey, just remember the lower the lows, the higher the highs. Patience is rewarded, and only a fool tallies up the receipts!
dont try too reinvent the wheel ....just drive it and have fun ,,theres time to rip it apart and have it up on blocks later on down the road
You cant go wrong with an early Chevy for your first one. You'll have more fun in that car. That thing must have a hell of a parking brake in it....that is one steep street.
I got my first "hot rod" back in October, like everyone has already said, the first couple days are like re-discovering ***, fun and everything good in life. The first drive I had, I was grinning ear to ear during and for hours later. Have fun, and a word of advice "Patience"
Well first step was to get the miss out of it, so a new set of plugs to care of that. Fixed the stuck float in the carb too. Also put the visor and some fogs on tonight. On the to do list is a set of 3" blocks in the rear, some 15" wheels, get the interior lights working, and replace the broken windows. Then later on, cut a coil out of the front springs, replace the back seat, build some door panels and find some WWWs. I also need to find a saturday to get the chrome back on. So if anyone in the CO area has any of the aforementioned parts, please share
outstanding...I learned alot about cars and other things in my first hot rod...I don't know what I reminisce about more...my first car (54 bel air) or the first girl that I got to know in that car...the two are forever connected in my memories...enjoy it and don't destroy it!!!!!!!!
Right ON!!!!! Cool car too! I have a 53'ford and love the chevys. sounds like you have some good ideas to start. I keep going back and forth with mine...chop...no chop...chop...no chop...lol Blake
