need a little help with removal

    im trying to pull my motor with the trans out of my 51 merc at the same time. I dissconnected everything from the motor even the motor mounts but it wont come out. there was four bolts on the back of the tranny that i removed also but it still is stuck am I missing something?? please help i need to remove it by tomorrow evening. thanks so much

    rear trans mount? shift linkage? driveshaft snagging?

    exhaust ? trans crossmember ? is the trans stuck on the tunnel ?
    did you at least get it to lift up off the engine mounts ?

    I cut the exhaust and I dissconnected both shift linkages I also dissconnected a rod that was conected on the driver side bolted through the frame.

    wheres the rear trans mount?

    Did you remove the trans tunnel cover??That would let you have more access to the trans and the mount.

    Double check for extra "homebrew" mounts/bars/crossmembers.
    I've seen some "extra" mounts added to cars in the past that if you didn't look for them, you would have never known.

    Ground straps/cables???

    Rusted/Welded solid mounts?
