Sometimes you just have to take drastic measures and make a move. Brought home my new 57 F100 and had to make room in the garage. So I decided to move the Model A into my truck box behind the garage. Pics to follow........ Later,Bill and the 57
Damn it Bill, Should of called I would have helped you but that PICKUP away and get that Model A together/>
****py neighbours. Mine would have just come over and helped man handle it into the shed ............ then drunk the fridge dry.......
I can sympathize with you. I've been there and done similar things with stuff I needed to store. I've got ****py neighbors too.
That's why i'm married so I have help to push my projects around. Neighbors are unreliable and never around unless they want help or borrow your tools. Steve
From another thread I started. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1844165#post1844165 Not from the Beacon Journal. Later,Bill
hey that aint bad at all you should see some of the **** i pull around the house my neighbor calls my sedan houdini i have a freind/customers 56 plymouth here and it doesnt run so ever time i wanna get the sedan out the gararge for a test hop the 56 get rolled to the end of the driveway by the street and i back the sedan out and around the 56 and if im going to be gone long the i drive the lil modle a pickup around the 56 and back up the driveway to back yard in front of garage lol it fun thats all i can say about it tooooo many toys and not enuff room
Nice looking Model A body ... looks solid. But you need larger wheels on the dolly ... They really do help ...
My neighbors allways give me the cl***ic, " I seen you moving that stuff around, next time if you need a hand come on over" Of course I wonder why they were watching and not helping....lol
You act as if you don't have any friends that could come over and give you a hand! I applaud your ingenuity though. I'll have to come over and check out that pick up somtime soon...
reminds me of my running model a roadster that is still sitting where I drove it this fall. in the back of my two place snowmobile trailer for the winter! fits just fine as long as you take the windshield off first (and remember to duck as you drive it in) little hairy though as the trailer is about 3 feet off the ground.
Oh Megan I know you, Rick and everyone else would have came by. It truly was easy to move. I had it done in a half hour. While the wife was snapping pics.... evidence or memories I'm not sure which Later,Bill
Yeah some times you just have to do what ya have to do, good looking body though, think you should be working on that. I usually end up moving stuff my self and people always say I would have helped, guess I'm just to impatient or thier lying.
all i can wish for is my neighbor will finally drop dead! if i need something moved i just fire up the forklift, doubles as my portable car hoist.sure makes loading the trailer nice when they don't roll.
you should have seen me unload my buick from the trailer when i brought it home, by myself, did i mention it doesn't run. the best part was when i rolled up the windows and the door blew shut before i realized that the handles were shaved, thank god there is no back seat in it.
Bill, easiest thing to do would have been to dump the A..... I'd throw myself on that grenade for ya ANYTIME bud! Damn shame. A man having to push an A around on a dolley...... aint right.
looks like your deck /sidewalk is in need of repair have the naybors help with that.. went to a local auction here sat and ther was a 4600 mile original truck like yours with a fire dept box... kinda ugly box .. i like yours better paperdog
